Opinion: What needs to happen next with Ronda Rousey
Following this past Monday's episode of WWE RAW, it would appear that RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey has had a full-fledged heel turn.
I don't think too many are surprised by this as the UFC icon has been getting more and more boos every week and the champion tends to take these things to heart, so what better way to have control of it other than to be a heel.
After just over a year as a babyface on RAW, Rousey has pretty much fought and defeated everyone possible, and although remaining on RAW, has now moved onto SmackDown's top two women's performers, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte.
So, now as a heel... What's next?
What I think WWE should do next with the RAW Women's Champion is too expand her role from a solo performer to a faction. The Four Horsewomen of MMA, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir and of course Ronda Rousey, are all wearing the WWE colours.
Shayna Baszler has been arguably the most dominant female performer in NXT history, currently on her second NXT Women's Championship reign, and although Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir have only recently debuted on the black and yellow brand, they are already very close to main roster level of training.
Whether Rousey loses the Women's Championship or not at WrestleMania, I think it's time we see The Four Horsewomen make their main roster debut on the always eventful post-WrestleMania episode of RAW, and immediately show their dominance as a unit by taking out the women's roster key players.
But why does it need to be just the 'Four Horsewomen'? Why not have someone else involved, a mouthpiece role for the group who is already a certain advocate for another UFC/WWE prospect, Paul Heyman.
Don't get me wrong, I do think Ronda Rousey is well capable of looking after herself on the mic, but The Four Horsewomen and Paul Heyman is just a dream team. It's been no secret that Paul Heyman has been helping Rousey out with her promos since her arrival in WWE, and I think that will transition to even greater heights when it is both working together on TV.
Heyman would also be able to provide great guidance for the up and coming Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, and only excel those to where they need to be. Heyman has the gift of gab and does wonders for Brock Lesnar for promos for when he is both not at shows and during his segments to, and could do the very same for The Four Horsewomen.
