Paul Heyman on the Undertaker vs Lesnar feud, Wrestlemania update about Sting
– Paul Heyman who is the voice of Brock Lesnar spoke with Sporting News about the huge match at Hell In A Cell this month. The Undertaker is featured to go head to head with Brock Lesnar with this being the third and final match featuring these two superstars since Wrestlemania 30, where Lesnar broke Undertaker’s streak. He spoke on why is it better to not wait until Wrestlemania for this titanic match, and also about the fantasy match that is Brock Lesnar v Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Paul Heyman said that people can't wait to see Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar III and that there is a huge interest among everyone. He talks about not postponing the match which is scheduled at Hell in a Cell to Wrestlemania 32 because this would be the final time these two megastars step together in a ring and he thinks that should happen now and not later. He says, “Because now’s the time, This is where there’s tremendous public interest in it and it’s the right match to do. I don’t think we should hold off Hell in a Cell until WrestleMania. I think Brock Lesnar versus The Undertaker in their final conflict — in what is sure to be the final time these two ever step into the ring against each other — and I think that should happen now.”
Heyman says that the feud is at its peak right now after the incidents at Raw and SummerSlam and this would be the exact time to capitalize on it and that it would be “best for business”. He adds. “I don’t think waiting until WrestleMania would be, to borrow the phrase, “best for business” and I think the heightened public interest coming off of what happened at SummerSlam and the reaction from the public after we told our story the next night on Raw, I think now’s the time to capitalize on it and to exploit the public interest and present the match now.”
– Sting who was recently injured in a match at Night of Champions against Seth Rollins has been recuperating. If Sting is to be cleared in time for Wrestlemania then there is a lot of speculation for the opponent that Sting would face.
There was a talk of Sting facing the Undertaker for the Wrestlemania main event. It has been now said according the Wrestling Observer newsletter that there are plans for Sting vs the eerie Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania 32. With his current injury and his wrestling career in doubt, it would be speculation that this match goes through. If Sting fails to recover, WWE may have to find a new opponent for Bray Wyatt.
