Popular tag team to reunite on WWE RAW after 3 years? The subtle hint you missed
The WWE Draft is officially in effect as tonight was the first episode of WWE RAW where the new roster was locked in. We saw several NXT call-ups on the red brand tonight, including former NXT Women's Champion Indi Hartwell.
Miss Indi Wrestling was spotted backstage with other former members of The Way, a popular stable from the then-Black and Gold Brand a few years back. Hartwell, alongside Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Austin Theory, wreaked havoc on the show, capturing tag and singles gold. Though Theory is now defending his United States Championship on SmackDown, Indi's on-screen husband Dexter Lumis filled in.
However, that wasn't the only reunion involving Johnny Gargano that got fans excited. Johnny Wrestling revealed that "he's coming back soon." While some may have thought that meant Theory, it's more than likely a reference to Tommaso Ciampa.
LeRae was nervous about this possible reunion and tried to get the rest of The Way on her side. Gargano, though, brushed her fears aside, excited to see "him" return soon.
Tommaso Ciampa's last run on WWE RAW
Tommaso Ciampa got called up to the main roster in April 2022 and soon aligned himself with The Miz, turning heel for the first time in three years. With his ring name shortened to Ciampa, the Psycho Killer served as The Miz's lackey, attempting to help the A-Lister in his matches and during Miz TV segments.
In August, Ciampa defeated Dolph Ziggler and Chad Gable in a triple threat for an opportunity at the WWE United States Championship. He'd go on to defeat AJ Styles later that night, securing that shot at the gold. Ciampa dedicated his match with then-champion Bobby Lashley to the late great Harley Race, one of the men who trained him when he was breaking into the business.
Despite losing, it was a great effort that helped the WWE Universe unfamiliar with his work realize just how dangerous he can be. Ciampa would be put on the shelf soon after, ending his run with The Miz before Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis got involved with the Two-time Grand Slam Champion.
Will Tommaso Ciampa join The Way? Will Candice LeRae even give him that opportunity? Or could we see Blackheart Ciampa reunite with The Miz to pick up where they left off? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
