Possible matches for Mark Henry in Wrestlemania
‘The World’s Strongest Man’ Mark Henry returned to WWE two weeks back and ever since he has looked monstrous. He looks much more intimidating this time around and will seem to be a strong contender for the World Heavyweight Champion. With Mark Henry looking strong enough to even win the No.1 Contender Elimination Chamber match, let us now look at the possible scenarios for Henry at Wrestlemania.
1. Ryback
For long there was news that Ryback was going to face Big Show at Wrestlemania. The main reason behind this match was for all of us to witness Ryback laying the shellshock on Big Show. But apart from this, does this feud have any value? Does Big Show look a considerable threat to Ryback? The answer unfortunately is a NO. Though Big Show is the World’s Strongest Athlete, the fact that he has lost to the likes of Del Rio in recent times makes him a very less intimidating contender. Mark Henry on the other hand can prove to be a strong and destructive opponent if he gets to win the Elimination Chamber.
It is quite obvious that Del Rio will go on to win the World Heavyweight Championship, having Mark Henry go into Wrestlemania as the WHC will make him an extremely strong opponent for Ryback.
2. Randy Orton
This feud came into my mind after Henry defeated the Viper on SmackDown to make an entry into the Elimination Chamber. Henry could cost Randy the No.1 contender spot after being eliminated. This could possibly lead to a great feud between the two. I was partly satisfied with their match in SmackDown though Mark seemed somewhat slow and laid back initially which possibly could be due to ring rust.
On the whole, this feud will push Randy Orton as a huge face which I wouldn’t prefer. I would love to see Orton as a heel which is something he sells exceptionally well.
3. Big Show
This will prove to be a match of colossal proportions. The two biggest wrestlers of the industry going against each other in the biggest stage of them all. Well, that sounds interesting indeed. But does the match have anything for either wrestlers to prove? Maybe not.
However, the match can be a possibility with Big Show winning the title from Del Rio this Sunday on Elimination Chamber and Mark Henry winning the No.1 contender Chamber match.
4. Alberto Del Rio
One of the most highly unlikely matches, but still WWE can consider this option as a worst case scenario match. It is important that both these wrestlers have a match at Wrestlemania and in case the WWE does not have a proper feud going on with either of the wrestlers then this match can be considered a possibility.
Alberto Del Rio seems to be gaining enough fanfare, putting him against a monster heel and giving him the unlikeliest victories does seem to be an interesting option for WWE to consider.
