Possible WWE Tough Enough replacement for Hogan, bad news for Kevin Owens
- As we had reported earlier, Hulk Hogan has been fired from WWE due to his leaked racial comments on an African-American man who his daughter Brooke was apparently dating.
Hogan’s major role in the company was that of a judge on the ongoing WWE Tough Enough alongside Daniel Bryan and Paige. However, since WWE have been removing all of his mentions, they will be replacing him. And it seems they may call upon their only two-time Hall of Famer, Ric Flair to fill in for that role. However, there has been no official announcement from the decision makers Vince McMahon and Executive Producer Kevin Dunn.
Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com confirmed that Flair is under consideration but other names discussed today for Hogan’s replacement on Tough Enough include host Chris Jericho, Tough Talk host The Miz and Mick Foley, who was very critical of the show this week.
- During Monday Night RAW this past week, Kevin Owens was one of the guys used for breaking up the brawl between the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. These type of spots are usually for mid-card talents, but Owens who defeated John Cena at Elimination Chamber this May was booked for this. It has raised many questions as to what his current status in the roster is. And it has been several days since Owens has had a televised win against a main event talent.
And radio host Bryan Alvarez, who appeared on the Wrestling Observer Live, said that Owens has been dropped to an "upper mid-card position", as WWE officials do not consider him being on the level of John Cena, Randy Orton or Rollins anymore.
