Tonight's Monday Night Raw was something that the fans were looking forward to for a good while, as it's dubbed as the most exciting Raw of the year. The crowd is energetic and rowdy, new Superstars debut, the old guard rides off, and the stage is set for the near future.

The kick-off segment was another of those moments fans expect from a post-Mania Raw. Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston faced off and a match was made official, pitting the two against each other with both championships on the line.

Kofi and Rollins didn't get to do much in terms of in-ring action, as The Bar of all people interrupted the bout and attacked the champions. This didn't sit well with the rabid fans inside the arena. It was a clear case of bait-and-switch. WWE had teased a guaranteed major title changing hands at the end of the show, and ended up giving the fans a tag team match between Rollins & Kofi and The Bar.

The champions made quick work of Sheamus and Cesaro and stood tall to end the show. This doesn't deter the fact that the crowd was livid upon learning that they had been made fools of by the company. The lack of star power on the show led to WWE taking the risky decision of baiting the fans and that didn't end well for them.

Although this tactic of bait-and-switch gives a quick boost to the ratings, it never ends well in the long term. The fans expected a title change tonight, and they displayed their displeasure with a loud chorus of boos upon learning that it was nothing but a cheap tactic by the company to boost ratings.
