Predicting every Champion in WWE at the end of SummerSlam 2024

The next two months are going to be an exciting period for WWE, as the road to SummerSlam heats up. The August supershow will take place in a large stadium, which means there are some big plans in store.

We could see quite a lot of new champions at The Biggest Party of the Summer, while some titles may change hands beforehand too. With Clash at the Castle and Money in the Bank coming up, expect a different crop of stars to lead the way on RAW and SmackDown.

But, once the dust settles, who will leave SummerSlam with the gold? Here are predictions for every champion in WWE following the second-biggest premium live event of 2024.

#9. WWE Women's Tag Team Champions: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

This shouldn't be a tough decision. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have been incredibly dominant since they decided to join forces, with no end in sight to their reign as Women's Tag Team Champions.

The powerhouse duo will likely retain their titles in the three-way at Clash at the Castle, following which there may not be many more challengers remaining. Belair and Cargill could remain champions deep into 2024 until The Storm is ready to be a fully-fledged singles main eventer.

#8. WWE Tag Team Champions: DIY

Next in line to challenge A-Town Down Under, DIY seems likely to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. The tension between Austin Theory and Grayson Waller could cause a swift title change soon, but there's another reason why Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa should be the next champions.

SummerSlam is in Cleveland, Ohio, which is Gargano's hometown. So, WWE must ensure he and Ciampa appear on at least one of the shows that weekend, either winning or retaining the title. The reaction would be a significant boost to DIY's chances of succeeding as a main roster act.

#7. World Tag Team Champions: Creed Brothers

Awesome Truth became Tag Team Champions in an amazing moment at WrestleMania 40, but that's all it should have been. A moment. They have barely done anything to raise the prestige of their title, with R-Truth and The Miz recently being relegated to comedic backstage skits.

They must drop the World Tag Team Title before SummerSlam. The Creed Brothers might be the ones to dethrone them. Brutus and Julius are waiting for WWE to pull the trigger on them, with a potential heel turn on the horizon. The seeds have been planted.

#6. Intercontinental Champion: Chad Gable

Speaking of the Creed Brothers turning heel, this man will be the master behind their potential upcoming success.

Chad Gable has been excellent as the villainous leader of The Alpha Academy, mistreating his students at every turn. His fine work could be rewarded at Clash at the Castle, with Sami Zayn putting the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Master Gable.

There's a lot the Olympian can do as IC Champion, including feuding with Otis. The world is waiting for him to stand up to Gable and challenge for the title. However, the villain will likely stand tall through the summer, with the Creeds by his side in a new-look Alpha Academy.

#5. United States Champion: LA Knight

The feud is well and truly underway. Logan Paul might not be appearing on SmackDown, but LA Knight will bring "SmackDown" to him. Expect things to get intense between the two, leading to a big match at SummerSlam. This might be where The Maverick loses his United States Championship.

It's about time Knight won some gold in WWE, following an impressive year on SmackDown. The Megastar has remained incredibly over with the fans and will look to carry that momentum into Cleveland, before walking away with the US Title. The beginning of the end is here, for Logan Paul.

#4. WWE Women's Champion: Nia Jax

Following her Queen of the Ring victory, Nia Jax has earned a WWE Women's Championship match at SummerSlam. She may face Bayley, who is likely to retain her title against Piper Niven at Clash at the Castle. However, Jax might be one challenge too far for The Role Model.

The real-life Bloodline member is doing the best work of her career, with great performances in victory and defeat throughout 2024. A Women's Title win at SummerSlam would be the perfect reward for Nia Jax's consistency in the ring, even if it isn't the longest reign. Expect total annihilation at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

#3. Women's World Champion: Liv Morgan

It isn't known when Rhea Ripley will return from her injury. She may be back in time for SummerSlam, where a match with Liv Morgan is likely. However, Mami won't regain her Women's World Championship at the first time of asking. But why? Two words: Dirty Dom.

Morgan has over a month to continue her mind games and try to seduce Dominik Mysterio, before Ripley returns. Who knows, the Judgment Day member might already be on board in this scheme. Whatever the case is, expect the slimy heel to betray Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam, allowing Liv Morgan to remain the Women's World Champion.

#2. World Heavyweight Champion: Gunther

Similarly to Nia Jax, Gunther dominated his way to a world title match at SummerSlam by winning the 2024 King of the Ring tournament. The Ring General has been near-invincible since debuting on the main roster two years ago, so expect him to win the World Heavyweight Championship next.

Whether it's Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, or anyone else walking into SummerSlam with the gold, Gunther will likely leave on top. The Ring General has proven how good he is throughout his 666 days as Intercontinental Champion, so this is the natural next step.

#1. Undisputed WWE Champion: Randy Orton

This might come as a huge shock, as Cody Rhodes only dethroned Roman Reigns two months ago. Would SummerSlam be too soon for The American Nightmare to drop the Undisputed WWE Championship?

It might be necessary to break up his title reigns, especially with a lot of big hitters around. With The Tribal Chief likely to feud with Solo Sikoa, following his actions on SmackDown, Rhodes may end up facing Randy Orton at SummerSlam.

The Viper is currently out of action, but he could receive a WWE Title match at SummerSlam due to the King of the Ring controversy. Orton has a lot of history with Cody, with the two being close friends. That's what would make this storyline much more personal.

Randy Orton is so popular that the only way he can turn heel is to dethrone Cody Rhodes, winning his 15th world title in the process. That would get him closer to history. Meanwhile, The American Nightmare can regain the WWE Title in the fall, ahead of The Rock's potential return.

However, when it comes to SummerSlam, Orton might get one over Rhodes in their first match as equals.
