Predicting the next 4 WWE Intercontinental Champions after Jey Uso

This past Monday on RAW, Jey Uso finally created history as he won his first singles title in WWE after defeating the dangerous Bron Breakker in the main event of the show. The Yeet Master is now the reigning Intercontinental Champion.

Since leaving The Bloodline last year, Jey has looked to stand on his own two feet, without the aid of his family. This determination to make it on his own has resonated greatly with the WWE Universe, as they willed him onto singles gold on RAW this week.

While the era of Jey Uso as the Intercontinental Champion has only just begun, we are going to take a look at four superstars who could potentially dethrone him to become the next holder of the iconic title.

#4. Braun Strowman could reclaim the Intercontinental Championship

One performer on Monday Night RAW who is no stranger to championship gold is Braun Strowman.

The former Universal Champion has shown in recent months that physically he is better than ever, with him and Bronson Reed taking each other to the limits week after week.

The two stars are set to face off next week in a Last Monster Standing Match, as their intense rivalry looks to come to an end.

If Strowman can get the win against Reed, then the next logical step for the former would be to go after Jey Uso. Given his championship pedigree and skills in the ring, Braun certainly has what it takes to defeat The Yeet Master for the Intercontinental Championship.

#3. Bronson Reed is wreaking havoc on WWE RAW

Braun Strowman is currently engaged in a heated feud with Bronson Reed. The Australian star returned to the company in 2022 and initially struggled to connect with the crowd on the main roster.

However, after recently attacking Seth Rollins on RAW, Reed's stock has continued to rise as the weeks have passed, with his incredible athleticism and size stunning fans in attendance.

Like Strowman, if Reed can win his big match next week, then the next person in sight for him should be Jey Uso. With Bronson being a heel and Jey being a babyface, their pairing makes a lot more sense than if Braun were to go for the title.

#2. Chad Gable gets over the hump in WWE

If there is anybody who knows how hard it is to win singles gold apart from Jey Uso, it is Chad Gable.

The 38-year-old star has been trying to win the Intercontinental Championship for the past year, with him narrowly losing to former champions Gunther and Sami Zayn.

Now, being one of the top heels on Monday Night RAW, Chad Gable has some muscle on his side, with the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile joining him to form the American Made.

With the numbers now being firmly on Gable's side, Chad may finally be ready to take the gold off of Jey Uso as he looks to also win a singles championship in WWE for the first time in his career.

#1. Jey Uso's past comes back to haunt him

The main reason Jey Uso moved to RAW was to separate himself from the drama surrounding his family, as The Bloodline continued to disrespect him.

After defeating Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania XL earlier this year, it seems that for the time being, The Bloodline is well and truly in his rearview mirror.

However, with The Bloodline now having evolved over the past few months, with Solo Sikoa leading Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, the heel faction may look to go after The Yeet Master in the coming months.

If The Bloodline does indeed aim at Jey, then the person to take the title off of him would have to be Jacob Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf made his WWE debut in June 2024 as he aligned himself with Sikoa.

Just as Solo was for Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu is now The Enforcer of Sikoa, with him looking to get The Bloodline back on top in WWE by any means necessary.
