Predicting the next 5 tag-team break-ups in WWE
If there’s one thing we should know about modern-day WWE, it’s that loyalty doesn’t count for much. In 2017 alone we’ve seen Kevin Owens, Big Cass, Nia Jax and others attack their best friends and/or tag partners, with the most recent betrayal coming when Mojo Rawley turned against Zack Ryder on SmackDown Live.
Of all the tag teams in WWE right now, the only ones that seem inseparable are The Usos, The New Day, The Ascension, The Revival and The Club.
With that in mind, and with the tag-team rosters more jam-packed than ever on both Raw and SmackDown Live, we take a look into the future to predict the next five tag-team break-ups that will happen in WWE.
#1The Shield
After waiting so long for The Shield to reunite, there was only one question on everyone’s mind when they finally got back together in October: how long until they split up again?
In June 2014, Seth Rollins turned against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose when he attacked his Shield brothers with a steel chair on Monday Night Raw, bringing an end to the stable's 18 months of dominance in WWE.
Now that they're back together, all the talk surrounding the trio is about who will turn on who next. Will Reigns split them up? Will Ambrose finally turn heel? Or will history repeat itself and will Rollins return to his dastardly ways?
Rumour has it that WWE could be planning a match between Rollins and Ambrose at WrestleMania 34. If that’s the case, expect the Shield reunion to be over sooner rather than later.
