Predicting the outcome of Sunday's Hell in a Cell

With Hell in a Cell just a few days away, we are going into this PPV with a lot of skepticism in the air. We as fans aren’t very sure as to whether this PPV will indeed live up to its expectation or is it going to be just another PPV that passes by.

However, if handled the right way, HIAC has several potential issues to address and it is important that WWE hold on to the options that they have created for themselves. With matches between Ryback and Punk, Rhodes Scholars Vs Team Hell No and also Kingston and Miz all set to steal the show, the chances of WWE spoiling the PPV are very less unless they do something outrageous.

Anyways here are the predictions of each match announced and who the winners will be.

Kofi Kingston vs The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship

This match has got it all to take things over the line. With two wrestlers who will be ready to take high risks and come up with skilled moves the match is bound to be one show stealer.

With Kofi winning the Intercontinental Championship from The Miz in the main event it does indeed look like a revenge match for Miz. The feud started few weeks back when these two put on a cracker of a match on RAW and continued to intensify with Kofi’s Trouble in Paradise that made The Miz bleed.

Looking at the outcome of the match, I don’t think the WWE will take away the title so quickly from Kofi and will allow the feud to continue its path at least for a few more weeks.

Predicted Winner: Kofi Kingston

Team Rhodes Scholars vs Team Hell No for the WWE Tag Team Championships

The Tag Team division of the WWE finally seems to have resurfaced and looks all set to give us back those exciting moments. Team Hell No has done extremely well to make sure this resurrection happened quickly and properly. Daniel Bryan and Kane mixed well their skills of wrestling and humor to attract fans into this division and with the tag team tournament hitting the fans on the right note this match is expected to satisfy all expectations.

It is however recommended that the WWE does not spend too much time on carrying out the humor part of the feud. Yes, all the wrestlers here are indeed funny and the need for them to be funny is nearly over. It is time they took their titles seriously and gave us a match worth watching.

As for the predictions it is I guess time for Team Hell No to see a different path altogether. Team Rhodes Scholars looks good enough to carry the momentum the Tag Team division has received and their feud with the existing tag teams could mean that Daniel Bryan and Kane go on to have a feud of their own.

Predicted Winner: Team Rhodes Scholars

Alberto Del Rio Vs Randy Orton

To start with this match is without doubt one of the least built matches into the PPV. We haven’t seen a lot of build up into this match and both these wrestlers seem to be in this feud just as a holdover.

We have seen these two take on each other quite a few times and despite that this match has all the credentials to give us a good wrestling match. Both these wrestlers are known for their intensity within the ring and it is expected that both will maintain a good momentum in the match. The match is expected to bring about good exchange of hard-hits which should give it a good end to this feud.

Coming to the predictions, this match is expected to be the last of this stale feud and Randy after returning from suspension has received enough time on the ring. He now needs to be in some title venture and this makes it imminent that he goes into the next feud victorious.

Predicted Winner: Randy Orton

Sheamus Vs The Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship

This match doesn’t really lead to a lot of talk as the two wrestlers involved in this match don’t really speak of great wrestling skills. A brawl is what is expected when these two wrestlers collide and the same I guess is in store for us.

One of the main matches in the PPV today, this match received a lot of build and with Big Show beating Randy Orton for the No.1 title the feud does look well constructed and is on its way to a fitting end. However, I don’t see the Big Show making any kind of statement despite his victory against Orton.

However, this match is anticipated for another wrestler Dolph Ziggler. With Ziggler having promised to cash in the ‘Money in the Bank’ briefcase this face of the plot indeed makes things interesting.

Predicted Winner: Dolph Ziggler, after he cashes in the ‘Money in the Bank’ briefcase on a victorious Sheamus

Main Event: CM Punk Vs Ryback for the WWE Championships

What? Main event and no John Cena? Yes, that is right we finally have a PPV that does not feature Cena in the main event. Not that Cena didn’t deserve it, it only had gotten very stale to see him in every PPV. Anyways putting that aside, this match between the monster Ryback and Punk has all the necessary ingredients for a main event.

John Cena stepped aside of this match and let Ryback contend for the championships. Ryback hasn’t till date been tested in a long match and he will receive a lot of support from Punk in making this match a memorable one. Considering the fact that this is Ryback’s first big match in such a small time in the business a lot of eyes will be expecting him to dominate with his strong and muscular moves.

I don’t see any reason why CM Punk will lose the title and Ryback himself hasn’t proven himself worthy of the title till date. We could have a lot of unexpected turn of events and with speculations of a Brock Lesner return we are indeed going to have to wait it out to see how the event folds out.

Predicted Winner: CM Punk

With only 5 matches announced till now, this main event looks small. Hence there could be several other important developments that could be addressed. Cena’s relationship with AJ, a 3MB visit is all in the cards.

On the whole we are in for an exciting PPV that should have in store for us a great weekend.
