Pro wrestling legend, Mae Young passes away at the age of 90
World Wresting Entertainment Hall of Famer Mae Young, a pioneer in the realm of women’s wrestling, passed away at the age of 90.
Mae Young was gravely ill and was under hospice care for the past month.
Stephanie McMahon confirmed the news on her Twitter account this morning -

Young’s career spanned some nine decades, from her first bout in 1939 to her success as a septuagenarian contender.
In 2000 – at the age of 77 – she was crowned “Miss Royal Rumble.” Eight years later, she made history as the third woman to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and her accomplishments were later highlighted in the 2005 documentary,Lipstick and Dynamite.
