Pro Wrestling Rumors: Jon Moxley personally requested to work with fired WWE Superstar
What's the story?
Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, has made a great example of how a Superstar can revive his career after leaving WWE.
Not only is Ambrose a crucial part of the AEW roster, but he is also the IWGP US Champion in NJPW. Apart from that Ambrose regularly makes appearances for smaller promotions.
As per reports from SI.com and Cagesideseats.com, Moxley had himself requested to work with former WWE Superstar Big Cass during his appearances with Northeast Wrestling.
In case you didn't know...
Big Cass, now known as CaZXL in the independent circuit, was released by WWE in 2018 allegedly due to behavioural issues.
Cass joined Northeast Wrestling in June 2019, along with his former tag team partner Enzo, who now goes by the name nZo. Cass issued an open challenge which was answered by Moxley, who went on to defeat CaZXL.
The heart of the matter
Here is what Cagesideseats had to say:
Jon Moxley personally requested to work with Big Cass during his appearances with Northeast Wrestling, sources told SI.
Moxley is making quite a name for himself on the independent circuit again feuding with Superstars such as Killer Kross and CaZXL. A program with someone as experienced as Moxley is a great opportunity for Cass to hone his craft and gain recognition in the pro-wrestling world.
It is also interesting to note that the former WWE Champion is going out of his way to promote the talent that he believes in and wants to see them given a chance.
What's next?
Ambrose is currently performing in the ongoing NJPW G1 Tournament, where the Lunatic has already garnered 2 victories. Could the IWGP US Champion end up winning his first G1? Only time will tell.
