Randy Orton to be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame? Exploring his futureĀ

Randy Orton is considered one of the top WWE performers in history, with a Hall of Fame nod likely on the horizon. Recognized as a 14-time world champion, it's only fitting for WWE to honor him with a spot in the hall. Known by various monikers like The Legend Killer and The Viper, his Hall of Fame induction seems inevitable. However, could we see him enshrined as soon as 2025?

The answer to that question is straight up "no," and it comes from Randy Orton himself. Speaking to Cody Rhodes on the What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Orton was asked about his ideal Hall of Fame induction. And, while answering that question, he made it clear that he only planned to enter the hall once he had hung up his wrestling gear.

Recalling how Rey Mysterio was inducted as an active superstar, Randy Orton commented that it was a cool moment. However, he is not cut from the same cloth and would much rather go into the Hall of Fame after his career is done and dusted with.

"I feel like if I'm lucky enough to be in the Hall of Fame, I would want it to be when things are settled. I feel like that's how it has to come about." said Randy Orton. [From 9:50-10:09]

Orton's induction into the Hall of Fame is sure to happen. The timing of his induction remains unknown. He has stated that it will only happen after he retires, and it seems he still has plenty of gas in the tank. Therefore, it may be some time before he is enshrined.

Randy Orton would like John Cena to be the one to induct him

Randy Orton is considering waiting until he retires to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but he already has someone in particular in mind to do the honors. With nearly 24 years of experience in the industry, numerous superstars could be chosen for this role. Triple H, Ric Flair, and Batista, among others, could fill this role. Nonetheless, Orton's preference is for his greatest rival, John Cena, to be the one to induct him.

WWE has long relied on the Orton-Cena relationship, and for good reason. With over 100 confrontations under their belt, it's clear they are quite familiar with each other. The Viper expressed his confidence in choosing the Leader of the Cenation, believing he would excel in their upcoming match, as he told Cody Rhodes.

"I know John can do me better justice than just about anybody, because John is John. Of course there's other candidates, but I feel like John would be at the top of my list." said Randy Orton. [From 11:08-11:20]

As mentioned earlier, Orton is a lock for the Hall of Fame. And if he were to get John Cena, who is likely to enter the hall before him, to welcome him into the fold, it would be nothing short of amazing.
