RAW Deal – What’s in store on 8/4
Last night, we saw history being made at the Met Life Stadium in NY-NJ area. Two titles changed hands, the streak is still alive and a lot of performers gave their best. At the end of the night, WrestleMania 29 went off the air with Cena holding the WWE title over his head, as The Rock passed on the torch to the face of WWE of this generation. As RAW moves ahead to the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ, we will see the fall out of WrestleMania 29, as we now move forward towards WrestleMania 30, where it all begins again!
Coming out of WrestleMania 29, one of the biggest upsets on PPV happened when Fandango defeated Chris Jericho, during his debut match! It’s a huge honour to debut at WrestleMania, but beating a 6-time former World champion puts the icing on the cake. What will happen tomorrow as Jericho and Fandango will be under the same roof once again? Will the ‘Ayatollah of Rock n’ Rolla’ have something to say about his shocking defeat? Or will Fandango finally put an end to the mockery of his name? It’ll be interesting to see where these two superstars go from here, as they might have a re match at Extreme Rules.
Orton, Sheamus and Big Show lost to The Shield, when their egos got the better of them, as Orton tagged himself in when Sheamus was about to tag Big Show, and that cost their team the match. Post match, Show attacked both his partners and laid them out. Sheamus and Orton will be far from impressed with Show’s actions. Will their team explode tomorrow on Monday Night RAW? Where will The Shield go from here? We have to wait till tomorrow to find out!
The Miz is now the WWE Intercontinental Champion, and the Awesome one has no intentions on letting it go anytime soon. Will Wade Barrett bring his Barrett barrage against Miz tomorrow night? What will unfold next between these two young superstars? I for one see Miz holding the title through the Summer, but Wade might have different ideas.
Team Hell No defeated the team of Ziggler and Big E, and look more as a cohesive unit than they have ever before! Will Kane and Bryan finally look eye to eye? Or is it just a momentary thing before the tensions explode between the tag team champions? Where will Ziggler go from here? Being the MITB brief case holder, he can cash it in at any time! Will he still wait for the right moment? Or will he cash it in this Monday? You have to assume Jack has a surprise for ADR to avenge his WrestleMania loss, which might give Ziggler the opportunity to get his hands on the World title!
Mark Henry won his match against Ryback when the two monsters collided at WrestleMania, although Ryback was the last man standing, as he delivered a huge Shell shocked to Henry after the match. Will Henry finally induct Ryback into the Hall of Pain? Or will Ryback look for redemption, as he looks forward to satisfy his hunger by feeding on Henry. What will happen when these two mammoths come face to face once again on Monday? You can bet things will turn ugly in a hurry!
The Undertaker defeated a cocky CM Punk to extend his streak to 21 – 0. Punk, who entered into WrestleMania, guaranteed a victory over The Undertaker, and end the legendary streak. Punk was unable to do so, and Taker finally put Punk to rest, and he now has the possession of what he rightfully owns, the urn of the late Paul Bearer. Rumours are that Taker will be on RAW, and so will Punk. What will happen when these two come face to face once again? Has Punk learnt his lesson? Or is he still obsessed over The Undertaker?
The Game finally defeated the beast Lesnar at WrestleMania, thus keeping his career safe, at least for the time being. You have to assume that Brock will not be happy with the way things turned out at WrestleMania, and he’d want revenge against the COO of WWE. Will Lesnar take things further in his battle against Triple H? Or is the personal war between the two finally over? Things get explosive on Monday, as these two superstars will have much to talk about their futures.
Last but not least, Cena has done what he claims to be the resurrection of John Cena in the WWE, by beating The Rock at WrestleMania for the WWE title. The show ended with Rock finally giving Cena the respect he’s been looking for. What’s in store for Cena in the WWE now? The bulls – eye is once again on Cena’s back, and there will be challengers vying for a match against the leader of CeNation for the WWE title. Who will step up to challenge Cena going forward? Is his rivalry with The Rock done for good? Or is there something in store for the WWE Universe? We’ll have to tune into RAW tomorrow to find out all the answers, and as it seems, it will be a memorable show, one which we cannot afford to miss from New Jersey!
