Real-life Bloodline member to return after 1470 days & help Roman Reigns? - 4 predictions for Survivor Series: WarGames 2024
Bad Blood was a newsworthy show due to Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes joining forces to take down Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
During the main event, Jimmy Uso also made his comeback, and to top it off, The Rock showed up right at the end of the event, hinting that he was working with the New Bloodline.
Attention now turns to Survivor Series: WarGames in November. The PLE could feature the traditional Survivor Series matches, introduce some new champions, and keep the rivalries going that could shake things up for WrestleMania.
Here are four predictions for the much-anticipated event:
#4 Kevin Owens vs Cody Rhodes
Following the events of WWE Bad Blood, Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes in the parking lot, leaving him beaten up next to his tour bus before taking off. The duo's feud has been brewing ever since they faced off at the WWE Bash in Berlin, but Owens was a babyface then.
The Prizefighter has been hinting at going back to his villainous ways ever since, but Randy Orton has been holding him back. However, things took a turn when the American Nightmare joined forces with Roman Reigns. This could reignite the Owens vs. Rhodes feud after what went down, and we might see the next chapter of their rivalry take center stage at Survivor Series.
#3 Real-life Bloodline member Rikishi could help Roman Reigns convince Jey Uso to aid the OTC
The Rock returned at Bad Blood and made some threatening gestures toward Roman Reigns. Although his motives are unclear, The Final Boss may not be keen on the OTC snagging a win at the PLE. The 52-year-old may be working with Solo Sikoa to take Roman Reigns down.
The Final Boss's return only points to the inevitable—a Bloodline Civil War at Survivor Series: WarGames. If The Great One is indeed behind the New Bloodline, he has plenty of people to back him up with Tama Tonga, Jacob Fatu, Tonga Loa, and Solo Sikoa, while Roman Reigns only has Jimmy Uso at the moment.
If he wants to even the numbers, the former Undisputed WWE Champion must seek to reconcile with Jey Uso. However, given the tumultuous history between them, he cannot hope to restore their bond without assistance from a real-life Bloodline member.
That's where Rikishi, Jey Uso's dad, comes into play. The veteran was last seen at The Undertaker's retirement ceremony in 2022, 1470 days ago. The storyline could kick off with The Rock throwing down a challenge to Reigns for a major match at the November PLE. But Roman Reigns might struggle to gather support since he only has Jimmy backing him up. He could head over to RAW to try and persuade Jey to help, but the former Bloodline member could initially decline.
At the PLE, Roman Reigns could find himself in a tight spot, standing in the ring with just Jimmy. Just when the tension peaks, Rikishi could show up with Main Event Jey and Sami Zayn, bringing the Original Bloodline back together.
#2 Charlotte Flair returns to assist Rhea Ripley
Raquel Rodriguez made a stunning comeback to WWE at Bad Blood, launching a surprise attack on Rhea Ripley leading to a disqualification and ensuring Liv Morgan retained her Women's World Championship. Following her bold move, she joined forces with Morgan.
With Survivor Series approaching, Raquel and Morgan could cause some trouble for Ripley since she's on her own. They could set up a match for the PLE where Raquel and Morgan team up against Ripley. As the Eradicator doesn't have a partner, they could suggest that she finds one.
During the PLE, Ripley might find herself in the ring all by herself, ready to take on the challenge. But then, out of nowhere, familiar music could blast through the arena, signaling Charlotte Flair's long-awaited comeback after nearly a year away. She could join forces with the former Women's World champion, and together they could finally take down the heel duo for good.
#1 Goldberg vs Gunther
At Bad Blood, Gunther stepped into the ring and got into a heated argument with Goldberg. The former Universal Champion even got so fired up that he leaped over the barricade to face off with The Ring General.
Goldberg didn’t get a chance to face off against Gunther, which has sparked a lot of rumors that WWE might be holding off for a future showdown. There’s a chance he could be making a comeback soon, and it could have been a setup for a Goldberg vs. Gunther match at Survivor Series, especially since The Ring General will be tied up with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.
It remains to be seen if this match will happen at the November PLE or if The Game will decide to save it for next year instead.
