Retired WWE Superstar to wrestle one final match after 3303 days at WrestleMania 41? Potential return analyzed

WrestleMania is considered WWE's biggest event of the year and the company leaves no stone unturned to make it a blockbuster extravaganza. The 41st edition of The Show of Shows still has a long time to go, but the Stamford-based promotion has already started to sketch the roadmap. Recent reports suggest that WWE has plans to bring back a retired star at the grand spectacle.

Monday Night RAW's color commentator Wade Barrett could be gearing up for a blockbuster in-ring return after 3303 days. The 44-year-old last competed in a match on April 4, 2016. However, he could step into the squared circle for one final match at next year's WrestleMania. On Episode 9 of WrestleVotes Radio, JoeyVotes and TC revealed that WWE has plans to bring back the British Bullhammer for one major feud with Drew McIntyre.

Meanwhile, there have been numerous instances where Barrett has discussed the possibility of an in-ring return. He expressed his desire to return to action after eight years to have a match with McIntyre, as he believed it would be the ideal comeback. With WWE's interest and Wade Barrett's desire for this showdown, there is a high chance of it happening.

The two superstars were also involved in a heated confrontation on RAW in September this year, which laid the foundation for their potential rivalry. With WWE kicking off its Road to WrestleMania next year, there is a good possibility of Wade Barrett coming out of his retirement to start a feud with Drew McIntyre leading to a match at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

This is a match that the WWE Universe has been clamoring to see, and WrestleMania in Las Vegas seems to be the perfect place for it to take place.

Wade Barrett to turn into a babyface ahead of WrestleMania 41?

Wade Barrett is currently the voice of Monday Night RAW as he has been calling all the action alongside Joe Tessitore. However, the 44-year-old exudes heelish characteristics on the commentary desk similar to SmackDown commentator Corey Graves.

Needless to say, Barrett has been a heel throughout his WWE career. However, this could change soon. With him rumored to feud with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 41, there is a good possibility that WWE could turn the British Bullhammer into a babyface next year.

Meanwhile, McIntyre is expected to retain his menacing persona, as he does not seem to be in line for a character change anytime soon. Should WWE decide to go forth with this plan, it would give rise to a compelling rivalry between Wade Barrett and The Scottish Warrior, leading to a much-awaited match at The Showcase of the Immortals.

WrestleMania 41 is still several months away and it remains to be seen how WWE transitions the RAW commentator into a more loving and babyface persona.
