Rey Mysterio confident of returning to the WWE by October end
Sunday night saw Rey Mysterio making an appearance on the WWE to announce that he would be returning to the ring by October end.
His first match back will be on Oct. 16 at Plaza de Toros Santa Maria in Querétaro, Mexico, which kicks off a four-night tour in the country. He’s a rather big star in Mexico, and if he does happen to make his return then; the timing couldn’t have been any more perfect!
Mysterio’s lengthy string of injuries began in February 2013 after being written off by a Mark Henry attack. He tweeted the following picture right before he saw world-renowned sports medicine specialist Dr. James Andrews -

The injury did not turn out to be as bad as expected, but fans were still scared. Rey was seven months away from a run of injuries that followed a yearlong layoff.
Mysterio is rather excited to be back in the ring and prove that he is still the wrestler he was in 2007 and 2008.
