Rey Mysterio joins AAA, teaming with original Sin Cara

Rey is now free from WWE

Rey Mysterio who recently left WWE after his contract expired, is now officially with Mexico’s leading promotion AAA. The company had been pushing a #FreeRey campaign for several months, after it emerged WWE had extended his contract to make up for injury time.

Yesterday Rey took part in a press conference in Mexico to hype his first appearance at the March 15th Rey de Reyes event in Guadalajara. At a May 23rd show, he will also take part in a 6-man-tag, joining Myzteziz (the original Sin Cara) and Alberto El Patron (Alberto Del Ro).
