Rhea Ripley's new boyfriend, third Tribal Chief of The Bloodline? - 5 things that can happen in WWE before 2024 ends
WWE has delivered solid shows throughout the year and is expected to continue the trend as we step into the second half of 2024. The biggest superstars on RAW and SmackDown are involved in brutal feuds on the road to SummerSlam and, later, Survivor Series. But between now and December, Triple H may have multiple jaw-dropping twists planned for the year's biggest storylines.
Here, we look at five interesting events that could transpire on WWE television before 2024 ends. So, without further ado, let's begin.
#1 Rhea Ripley replaces Dominik Mysterio on WWE RAW
Dominik Mysterio has seemingly won over Rhea Ripley after trouble in paradise, but there are still concerns over his eyebrow-raising meetings with Liv Morgan. While Dirty Dom plays a focal point in the Women's World Championship feud, a sub-plot has seen Mami gain a soft spot for Jey Uso.
Main Event Jey has never shied away from flirting with Rhea Ripley, and the latter was seen getting defensive when The Judgment Day planned to attack the former Bloodline member. If Dominik Mysterio betrays Rhea Ripley for Liv Morgan, we may see Mami replace him with Jey Uso on Monday Night RAW.
#2. Finn Balor finally wins the world championship in WWE
Finn Balor has long waited to get his hands back on a world title, years after he was forced to relinquish the gold. The creative team is seemingly building him up as the mastermind behind the Liv Morgan-Rhea Ripley storyline. There are also hints at his secretive, not-so-friendly intentions towards Damian Priest, who has repeatedly insisted he doesn't "need" the heel faction.
If Balor is quietly working with Liv Morgan to break up The Judgment Day, his likely target would be Damian Priest and his World Heavyweight Championship. We may see The Prince eventually betray the Archer of Infamy and challenge him for the title. While Balor has come close to winning the world championship again, he may finally bring his story to a full-circle moment this year under Triple H's creative control.
#3 Jey Uso becomes the new Tribal Chief of The Bloodline
One of the biggest storylines in WWE today is headed towards a massive Civil War within The Bloodline. The top heel faction on SmackDown has taken a turn for the worse since Solo Sikoa took over as the new Tribal Chief and directed his brothers toward a path of brutal destruction.
It is expected that Roman Reigns will eventually reunite with The Usos and Sami Zayn to take on the new version of The Bloodline. However, after it is all said and done, Reigns may not take the seat at the Head of the Table. Instead, we may see him anoint Jey Uso as the next Tribal Chief, as he should have done a long time ago, and hand over the reigns of the Bloodline to its new leader.
#4 The Rock returns and challenges Cody Rhodes
The Rock was pivotal in Cody Rhodes' bid to "finish his story" against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. The People's Champion teased a future feud with Cody Rhodes before leaving and could return to challenge the American Nightmare for the Undisputed WWE Championship before the year ends.
It is worth noting that the creative team teased tension between Roman Reigns and The Rock during their run together as well. The Great One is unlikely to dethrone Cody, but it could set up a massive, long-awaited feud between him and Reigns in the months following their return.
#5 Roman Reigns turns babyface in WWE
WWE may have several big returns planned for the final months of 2024, but the biggest one would arguably be Roman Reigns' return. He has not appeared on television since losing against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania earlier this year. As mentioned before, Solo Sikoa has taken over as the Bloodline leader in Reigns' absence, and fans are desperate to see the latter return to the new landscape.
Roman Reigns was the biggest heel in the business for years, but when he returns this time, the former Tribal Chief would be the biggest babyface in the promotion. He will likely return at SummerSlam, where we could see Reigns walk out to one of the biggest pops in WWE history.
He would be a mega babyface if he reunited with Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and especially Jey Uso to end Solo Sikoa and the new version of the Bloodline. It will be interesting to see if the creative team will keep him face after he feuds with Sikoa.
