ROH/Indie News: Young Bucks offered sovereign territory with indie fed following cease and desist from WWE
What's the story?
The Young Bucks recently had a monkey wrench thrown into their plans when WWE sent them a cease and desist which said that they weren't allowed to use the "too sweet" hand gesture in the ring or on their merchandise. But that doesn't seem to matter much to International Wrestling Syndicate.
In case you didn't know...
If you're making a list of the best tag teams on the indie wrestling scene, Nick and Matt Jackson should be very high on everyone's list if they aren't sitting on top.
The Young Bucks have delighted audiences all over the world with their incredible and innovative work in the ring and their comedic antics outside the squared circle.
The heart of the matter
International Wrestling Syndicate in Montreal, Quebec, Canada isn't just the original home of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn but they have also played host to plenty of other exceptional talents.
The Young Bucks recently challenged for the IWS World Tag Team Championships at Scarred 4 Life. The Jacksons were unsuccessful in defeating Tabarnak De Team on that night, but IWS is leaving the door open for The Young Bucks in more ways than one.
International Wrestling Syndicate recently declared themselves a sovereign territory for The Young Bucks so they can feel free to use as many pieces of WWE's intellectual property as they would like. It's a rather generous offer, but IWS' television show and free iPPVs might present a problem of keeping it too much of a secret.
What's next?
Who knows what's next for Nick and Matt Jackson. They signed deals with ROH so that's going to be their home in the United States for a while. But the sky's the limit for The Young Bucks.
The two have already accomplished a ton in their careers and don't look like they're slowing down anytime soon. Thier partnership only seems to get better with time in skillset and presentation.
But at this point, it's rather unlikely WWE will ever play host to a Young Bucks match unless some kind of miracle transpires.
Author's take
If The Young Bucks were to take IWS up on this offer it could result in a lot of fun. But then again, pretty much anything having to do with The Young Bucks is fun (unless it's a cease and desist letter because nobody likes those).
