Bully Ray made his Ring Of Honor debut in March 2017

What's the story?

Bully Ray is a frequent guest on the Busted Open Radio show on Sirius XM. On an appearance this week, he talks about the scary bump he took last week at Ring Of Honor's Death Before Dishonor pay per view and how it could affect his career going forward.

In case you didn't know...

Bully Ray was hospitalized on Friday after his match with the Briscoes where they took on Adam Page and the Young Bucks for the ROH Six Man Tag Team Championships.

Jay Briscoe turned on Bully Ray by slamming a table on his head causing a concussion. Check out the shot that Bully Ray took from the tweet below:

The heart of the matter

On the radio show, Bully Raw stated that it has been a rough few days for him since the pay per view and very concerned about his future going forward. At this point, he is starting to wonder if he should wrestle ever again.

Bully Ray has wrestled professionally for over 26 years. A devastating blow to that head definitely puts a career in perspective, especially at the age of 46. There is a time where every wrestler asks themselves if putting their body through that punishment is worth it any longer.

What's next?

Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for any further updates from Bully Ray regarding the next steps in his career. You can still catch him on Sirius XM's Busted Open Radio a couple of days during the week, and check his Twitter @BullyRay5150 for when he's on.

Author's take

I'm a big fan of Bully Ray, he truly reinvented himself as a top-level singles competitor when he transformed from the Bubba Ray Dudley gimmick.

That was truly a scary bump that Bully took and it's hard to imagine how any of that kind of bump he's gone through in his career, especially with several years of ECW on his resume. His health and his family come first and if it is best for him to step aside, then I fully support it.
