ROH News: Cody Rhodes once again claims that he is the leader of the Bullet Club
What’s the story?
Following the unparalleled turn of events at Ring of Honor’s 16th Anniversary show last weekend, former ROH World Champion and one of the supreme members of the Bullet Club, Cody Rhodes was interviewed by Ian Riccaboni following “The American Nightmare’s” confrontation with Kenny Omega at the ROH 16th Anniversary.
In case you didn’t know…
Following Cody Rhodes’ impressive win over Matt Taven at ROH’s 16th Anniversary show, much to everyone’s shock, “The American Nightmare” was attacked by the Bullet Club mascot Bury The Drug-Free Bear, who was later revealed to be none other than “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega.
The heart of the matter
At Ring of Honor’s 16th Anniversary show, Cody Rhodes earned himself a huge victory after he successfully defeated Matt Taven and reclaimed his Ring of Honor. However, despite the win, Rhodes’ night ended on a rather frustrating note thanks to former IWGP US Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega who caught “The American Nightmare” off-guard during the post-match celebrations.
Following his interaction with Omega, Cody Rhodes sat down for an exclusive backstage interview with Ian Riccaboni and said that come April 7, 2018, every Pro Wrestling fan’s eyes are going to be fixed on New Orleans at Supercard of Honor, where Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes will officially square off in a match for the very first time.
Additionally, Cody Rhodes also weighed in on the controversial kiss between Kenny Omega and Brandi Rhodes at ROH 16th and, claimed that Omega was supposed to be the wrestling hero, with a bag full of stars. Cody Rhodes himself is the guy who has a book full of dates, cities, and towns because much like Omega, he is not just a hero once a month and is rather a hero every single night.
Lastly, Rhodes once again made a bold statement, as he finally claimed that the reality is that he is the leader of the Bullet Club and the hero in this story.
What’s next?
Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega will square off against each other at Supercard of Honor XII, on the 7th of April at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
Author’s Take
This storyline surrounding the Bullet Club and The Golden Lovers is turning out to be the most interesting story in wrestling today, I believe and, I cannot wait to see how all of this eventually unfolds.
