Roman Reigns to apologize to 2 top babyfaces, possible tension with Cody Rhodes? 4 signs The Tribal Chief will join RAW when he returns to WWE
Roman Reigns has been on hiatus since losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes in the main event of night two of WrestleMania XL.
With SummerSlam set to take place this Saturday, the chances of the former Tribal Chief's return are higher than ever. Solo Sikoa, who has become the new leader of The Bloodline, will challenge Cody Rhodes for the title in the main event of the show, which is when Reigns could finally return.
However, Triple H could decide to have Roman Reigns join RAW instead of SmackDown after his return.
Here are four signs indicating that Roman Reigns could end up on the red brand.
#4. Roman Reigns is a free agent
Roman Reigns was one of the biggest names in the 2024 WWE Draft pool. However, Paul Heyman pulled him out of it due to the state of The Bloodline at that time.
The former Wiseman lied to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis as he claimed that it was Roman Reigns' decision. He later admitted that he had not spoken to his Tribal Chief since WrestleMania.
As Reigns is a free agent, he could show up on RAW instead of SmackDown. There is also a possibility that the Stamford-based promotion uses him on both shows due to his massive star power.
Jimmy Uso could also show up alongside Reigns because the former Tag Team Champion was not a part of the Draft this year due to an undisclosed injury.
#3. WWE RAW will move to Netflix in 2025
WWE RAW is set to move to Netflix in January 2025 as the red brand's broadcasting deal with USA Network will expire at the end of this year.
When RAW moves to Netflix, WWE may gain a lot of new fans as the company will be introduced to a whole new audience.
There is no bigger name than Roman Reigns in the Stamford-based promotion right now, so he is the perfect choice to lead the Netflix era of RAW. SmackDown experienced a massive boost in ratings during his title reign, and WWE also sold out arenas and stadiums very frequently.
The Bloodline has presented "cinema" to pro wrestling fans since 2020, so the storyline being featured on RAW could catch the attention of many new viewers. It has already gotten many casual fans to tune into WWE over the past few years.
#2. Jey Uso and Sami Zayn are on RAW
Once Roman Reigns returns, he will definitely declare war against the new Bloodline. However, he will not be able to take on Solo Sikoa and his men alone, so he would need backup.
The reunion of the original Bloodline is inevitable when the former Undisputed WWE Champion returns. Roman Reigns could head to RAW to mend fences with Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. He mistreated both of them, so it would be a necessary move on his part.
The former Right Hand Man teamed up with the Intercontinental Champion on the latest episode of RAW, which might be an indication that the seeds for The Bloodline reunion are being planted.
#1. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes need to be on different brands
The rivalry between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes began when The American Nightmare won the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble match to challenge the former Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Last year, Reigns came out on top due to help from The Bloodline, but his reign finally came to an end at WrestleMania XL. This marked the end of the Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes saga.
Rhodes has been the biggest babyface in WWE since his return to the company. Reigns will likely replace him as the top babyface in the Stamford-based promotion when he returns. Hence, the two rivals need to be kept on separate brands.
RAW has many big stars like Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, and CM Punk, but Reigns is levels ahead of everyone in terms of star power right now. So, him moving to RAW would be a smart move by Triple H.
