Roman Reigns apologizes on TV, Rhea Ripley to destroy Dominik Mysterio? - 4 ways Triple H can shock us on WWE RAW after SummerSlam
WWE SummerSlam is officially in the history books, and all eyes are set on the first edition of Monday Night RAW following the blockbuster premium live event. Two out of the three titles from the red brand changed hands at the show. Triple H was widely credited for booking an entertaining card full of jaw-dropping surprises and intense matches.
The Game will now look to carry the momentum on RAW, where top names will face the aftermath of their actions at SummerSlam. Additionally, exciting new rivalries are expected to take the spotlight on the red brand with a handful of surprises in store.
Here, we look at four ways Triple H can shock us on WWE RAW after SummerSlam this week. So, without further ado, let's begin.
#1 "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan make it official
Dominik Mysterio executed the ultimate betrayal at SummerSlam 2024 when he helped Liv Morgan retain the Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley. First, he stopped Mami from disqualifying herself by attacking the champion with a steel chair. But he slid the same chair back inside the ring for Morgan to use against her challenger, and she emerged victorious.
Following the match, 'Dirty' Dom helped Morgan get back on her feet before locking lips with the champion as Ripley looked on from the ring. Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio are expected to reveal their relationship on WWE RAW after SummerSlam, but it could backfire on them. A vengeful Rhea Ripley is likely to confront Dominik on the red brand, and she could put him in an ambulance following a brutal attack.
#2 Brock Lesnar returns to challenge Gunther for the title
Gunther defeated Damian Priest at SummerSlam to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Although The Ring General had unexpected help from Finn Balor, who betrayed The Archer of Infamy, the new champion is expected to enjoy a lengthy title reign. His first challenger on RAW could be Brock Lesnar, who has not appeared on WWE television since SummerSlam last year.
Fans have long wanted to see Gunther lock horns with The Beast Incarnate, and Triple H didn't rule out the latter's potential return. We could see Lesnar back on WWE RAW after SummerSlam, where he may challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship to set up their title match at Bash in Berlin later this month.
#3 Finn Balor and JD McDonagh lose World Tag Team Championship
Liv Morgan helped Finn Balor and JD McDonagh get a shot at the tag team title which ended with them becoming the new champions on WWE RAW. Balor betrayed Priest and cost him the title, while Dominik Mysterio chose Liv Morgan over Rhea Ripley. However, the incidents involving both superstars at SummerSlam could see Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley hit back with a good plan.
The WWE Tag Team Championship changed hands on SmackDown before SummerSlam last week. The first episode of RAW after the recently concluded event could see Balor and McDonagh put the tag team title on the line in an impromptu match. We may see Priest or Ripley cost them the championship, leaving the entire Judgment Day without gold to intensify the faction's breakup.
#4 Roman Reigns finds Jey Uso on WWE RAW
SummerSlam's main event saw Roman Reigns make an epic return and declare war against Solo Sikoa. The Original Tribal Chief is back to reclaim The Bloodline's control, but he would also need the faction's original members for a civil war against the group's new version filled with villainous stars.
Thus, we may see Roman Reigns make a surprise appearance on RAW after SummerSlam, where he can approach Jey Uso. There is a lot of bad blood between them, but we may see Reigns make the first move and offer an apology. If not, he can also send an indirect message to Jey Uso to set up a huge storyline of their eventual reunion as the OG Bloodline members.
