Roman Reigns distraction to cause The Bloodline to lose WWE titles? Exploring potential SmackDown shock

Roman Reigns reignited his war against the new Bloodline with his massive return during the recent SmackDown season premiere. The Original Tribal Chief rescued Cody Rhodes from a Bloodline beatdown, eventually leading to both Reigns and Rhodes signing a contract for Bad Blood 2024 later that night.

However, the former Undisputed Universal Champion could play a role in costing the new Bloodline their WWE Tag Team Titles, as DIY have set their sights on reclaiming the championships.

This belief stems from exclusive footage released by WWE after SmackDown, featuring Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. In the footage, they expressed their intent to win back the titles, even referring to Solo Sikoa as the Tribal Chief while stating that Jacob Fatu is the true ace of The Bloodline. DIY confidently declared that they are ready to take back their titles anytime and any place, now that they understand The Bloodline’s strategies.

It seems WWE is heading toward a rematch between DIY and the current champions, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. If this match happens, Roman Reigns could potentially interfere due to his ongoing war with the new Bloodline.

The OTC's interference in this possible tag team title rematch would undoubtedly be a major disadvantage for Tama and Tonga. This will ultimately favor DIY in their quest to dethrone The Bloodline. This angle would also add more intensity to the Bloodline saga, as Roman Reigns would be seen actively sabotaging his former faction, attempting to strip them of everything they hold dear.

Roman Reigns could pull double duty to cost The Bloodline their tag team titles

As of now, WWE has not officially announced anything about the rematch. However, DIY's promo all but confirms that a rematch is on the horizon. If this match is scheduled for Bad Blood 2024, Roman Reigns could end up pulling double duty at the premium live event. The Original Tribal Chief is already set to compete in a tag team match against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

If WWE confirms the tag team title rematch for Bad Blood, Reigns could make an early appearance during the show, interfering to cost Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa the titles. Later, he would return for his own match to clash with Sikoa and Fatu.

This scenario would make Roman Reigns the central figure of the entire event, with DIY possibly returning the favor by aiding Reigns during his match if he faces a numbers disadvantage.

It will be interesting to see what WWE decides and whether they add Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa vs. DIY for the WWE Tag Team Titles to the Bad Blood 2024 card.
