Roman Reigns to exact revenge, big title bout? - 4 Bash in Berlin matches that could be added on WWE SmackDown
WWE SummerSlam 2024 was an epic show, but the next premium live event may somehow top it. The sports entertainment titan's next big extravaganza will be the first-ever Bash in Berlin event. This is the first time the Stamford-based promotion will host a PLE in the country of Germany.
The match card is not complete as of yet, but it does have three huge bouts already confirmed. Cody Rhodes will put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against his ally, Kevin Owens. Additionally, Randy Orton is set to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
On top of those two matches, Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio will take on Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley in a Mixed Tag Team Match. While all three bouts are certainly exciting, other matches are surely going to be added to the card.
There is a chance that the Bash in Berlin lineup will become more clear during the upcoming episode of SmackDown. Several big-time matches could be added to the card by General Manager Nick Aldis or through on-air challenges. This article will look at a handful of bouts that could be added to the event during the next edition of the blue brand.
Below are four Bash in Berlin matches that could be added during WWE SmackDown.
#4. The Big 3 could take on Blair Davenport and The Unholy Union
The Big 3 are one of the greatest combinations of female superstars in WWE history. The unofficial faction is comprised of former world champions Bianca Belair and Naomi, alongside the incredibly impressive Jade Cargill.
The trio of talented performers is currently feuding with another group. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have issues with the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre. Meanwhile, Naomi and Blair Davenport have been feuding for weeks now.
With Blair and The Unholy Union now together, it only makes sense that the six women clash sooner rather than later. Naomi and Blair are meant to go one-on-one on SmackDown. The bout could end in chaos with all six women battling it out, ultimately leading to the announcement of a six-woman tag team match at Bash in Berlin 2024.
#3. Solo Sikoa vs. Roman Reigns feels inevitable
Roman Reigns is back on WWE television. The Head of the Table made his return at SummerSlam 2024, where he attacked Solo Sikoa, ultimately helping Cody Rhodes retain his title in a "Bloodline Rules" Match.
However, that was not the end of the story. The Original Tribal Chief also made his return to WWE SmackDown last week. Upon doing so, Reigns immediately laid out Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. He made it clear that he was gunning for Solo Sikoa next.
The two are almost definitely on a collision course and Roman wants to exact revenge. The pair could confront each other on SmackDown, which could then lead to Nick Aldis officially booking the cousins to fight at Bash in Berlin 2024.
#2. Nia Jax could defend the WWE Women's Championship against Bayley
Nia Jax is one of the most dominant forces in pro wrestling today. She is the reigning WWE Women's Champion, courtesy of some help from Tiffany Stratton. Nia is also a former RAW Women's Champion and a two-time Women's Tag Team Champion.
The woman The Irresistible Force defeated to win the WWE Women's Championship was Bayley. The Role Model had been champion since WrestleMania XL, where she defeated IYO SKY to capture the gold. Now, however, the belt is around Nia's waist.
Jax, alongside Tiffany Stratton, is supposed to be involved in a segment celebrating her title win. It would make sense for Bayley to crash it, attack both women, and demand a rematch at Bash in Berlin. This would be a big title bout and Bayley could right the wrongs of SummerSlam 2024.
#1. LA Knight and Santos Escobar are on another collision course
LA Knight has finally done it. The Megastar was able to capture his first championship on WWE's main roster when he defeated Logan Paul in a United States Championship match at SummerSlam 2024. Given his immense popularity, fans are overjoyed over Knight's victory.
Santos Escobar has been feuding with Knight for a while now. The 40-year-old star has made it clear that he wants to capture the United States Championship and came one step closer last week when he defeated Andrade in a number-one contender's match.
No date has been announced in terms of when Santos will receive his title opportunity. As a result, the pair could clash at Bash in Berlin. Given that they have competed against each other a few times now, the match could be given a stipulation of some sort. Maybe they will wrestle in a Street Fight? Only time will tell.
