Roman Reigns' former rival to save him and Cody Rhodes; shocking betrayal? 3 WWE stars who can help them against The Bloodline & 3 who may stay away
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are set to lock horns with The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at WWE Bad Blood 2024. During the September 13, 2024, episode of SmackDown, The OTC made his shocking return and saved The American Nightmare from the attack from The Bloodline after Cody retained his Undisputed WWE Title in a Steel Cage Match.
Last Friday, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns met at Georgia Tech to settle their differences and agreed to have each other’s back during the tag match in Atlanta on October 5.
That said, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns might fall prey to The Bloodline's numbers game. To counter the numbers game, fans and experts have suggested multiple names who can show up and support the dynamic duo at Bad Blood.
Let's look at three names who could help Rhodes and Reigns and three stars who must stay away from the match:
#5. Jimmy Uso could finally return to help Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes
Jimmy Uso was last seen on WWE TV on the April 12, 2024, edition of the Friday Night Show. He was booted out of The Bloodline by Solo Sikoa and has since been inactive.
When Solo Sikoa challenged Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to a tag team match at Bad Blood, The American Nightmare initially refused to accept the challenge. This led to fans speculating that the former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion could return to join forces with the Original Tribal Chief.
However, in a shocking twist, Cody Rhodes agreed to team up with Reigns to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood 2024. That said, there is a strong possibility Jimmy Uso will make a grand comeback at the Atlanta PLE to help The OTC and The American Nightmare against The Bloodline.
#4. Jey Uso could save Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns from the Tongan brothers at WWE Bad Blood
Former Bloodline member Jey Uso recently clinched the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night RAW.
However, there is a strong possibility that Jey Uso will show up to help Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes against The Bloodline in Atlanta. Though The YEET Master and The OTC have not been on the same page since the summer of 2023, his relationship with the Undisputed WWE Champion could force Jey to come to the aid of the babyface duo.
During the match, Main Event Uso could eliminate Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa from the ringside to even the odds.
Cody Rhodes could eventually be the one to resolve the differences between Roman and Jey, leading to their reunion.
#3. The Rock could make his shocking comeback to punish Solo Sikoa and company at Bad Blood
The Triple H-led creative team has built a stacked card for the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. However, fans expect a shocking end to the event and have suggested multiple angles for the climax.
One of the potential dramatic endings may see the comeback of The Rock. The Final Boss has been absent since the RAW after WrestleMania XL. However, in a shocking twist, The People's Champion could show up during the tag team match on October 5 and shockingly punish Solo Sikoa and Co. for betraying the Original Tribal Chief.
The People’s Champion recently hinted at his WWE return on his Instagram account. The Hollywood megastar revealed he was filming for one of his upcoming projects in Atlanta, Georgia, which is also set to host the Bad Blood PLE.
#2. Sami Zayn might stay away from The Bloodline storyline
Former Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn shares a deep connection with Roman Reigns' version of The Bloodline. Fans have been speculating that the erstwhile Honorary Uce would join forces with The OTC for a potential WarGames Match against the Solo-led faction at Survivor Series 2024.
However, the chances of Sami Zayn coming to the aid of Roman and Cody at Bad Blood 2024 are unlikely, as The Underdog from The Underground will likely challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title at the PLE.
#1. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens might keep their distance from Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood 2024
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens' relationship with Cody Rhodes has been the highlight of Friday Night SmackDown in the past few months. The trio has had each other’s back against the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline.
Despite their bond, Orton and Owens could keep their distance at Bad Blood 2024 and might not show up if Rhodes finds himself in trouble. The Viper and KO have expressed their displeasure with The American Nightmare joining forces with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Randy and Kevin share a bitter history with The OTC and have been at loggerheads with him for years.
Randy and Kevin not showing up could potentially build more tension between them and Cody, eventually leading to a heel turn from either KO or the 14-time WWE World Champion.
