Roman Reigns to be joined by 2 ex-TNA stars & big name, Randy Orton to AEW? 4 predictions for WWE SmackDown this week

This week's WWE SmackDown will air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and will feature some big names such as Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Gunther, LA Knight, and more. The company has announced two bouts for the show so far.

Aside from that, WWE could announce some new matches for Crown Jewel PLE. With the Saudi spectacle mere days away, fans should expect the creative to continue hyping the extravaganza on this week's blue show.

On that note, here are four last-minute predictions for WWE SmackDown this week:

#4. Randy Orton could threaten Triple H about jumping ship to AEW on WWE SmackDown

Randy Orton demanded a match against Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel PLE on last week's episode of WWE SmackDown. However, the blue brand General Manager Nick Aldis turned down the idea, stating that he couldn't book the match because of the people up above.

This led to The Viper hinting that he was going to consult WWE's Head of Creative Triple H about getting a match against The Prizefighter at the Saudi spectacle. Given that, this week's episode of WWE SmackDown could see a potential segment between Randy Orton and The Game.

While it will be of interest to see how Hunter reacts to Orton's request, it won't come as a surprise if The Apex Predator threatens Triple H about jumping ship to AEW if his demands are not met.

#3. The Motor City Machine Guns could defeat #DIY

The Motor City Machine Guns are set to lock horns with #DIY in a #1 contender match for the Tag Team Championship on WWE SmackDown. The creative team is seemingly planning to give the former TNA stars a big push following their debut last week.

Given a loss could hinder their momentum, The Guns could prevail over Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa on Friday night, setting up a mouth-watering clash against The Bloodline for the Tag Team Championship.

This potential angle could also lead to Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin joining forces with Roman Reigns. More on this later.

#2. Gunther and Cody Rhodes could engage in a brawl

Cody Rhodes will lock horns with Gunther for the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship at Crown Jewel PLE on November 2. The American Nightmare invited The Ring General to the blue brand on last week's episode of WWE SmackDown, which Gunther accepted.

Given that, the duo will now come face-to-face on Friday night. However, this segment could turn south very soon. Fans should expect the duo to fire verbal volleys at each other, which could even lead to physical confrontation. The creative team could have Rhodes and Gunther engage in a brawl to hype their Crown Jewel clash.

#1. Roman Reigns could be joined by Jey Uso and The Motor City Machine Guns

After the events of RAW, which saw Jey Uso lose the Intercontinental Title to Bron Breakker due to The Bloodline's interference, The YEET Master's reunion with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso seems like a foregone conclusion. Jey could show up on this week's SmackDown and mend fences with the OTC, joining forces with him against Solo's faction.

However, Roman Reigns could be joined by two more superstars- The Motor City Machine Guns. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, the ex-TNA stars, could potentially become the #1 contenders for The Bloodline's Tag Team Championship and could join forces with Roman Reigns against the heel stable on Friday night.
