Roman Reigns' loss in Saudi Arabia could finally lead to long-time rival exacting his revenge

Roman Reigns has not been pined for almost four years, and next weekend, he will be looking to expand his belt collection when he travels to Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will be putting his record on the line, knowing that he could be pinned as part of the match, which could then set up another title defense in his immediate future.

This would be the perfect scenario heading into SummerSlam since Reigns doesn't currently have a challenger on SmackDown, and Sami Zayn still has the WWE Universe firmly behind him.

It is already being speculated by Dave Meltzer that Reigns could be the man who is pinned in Saudi Arabia, which would then see the man behind it being handed a future title match.

Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns have an already-written WWE storyline

Things have already gotten personal between Reigns and Zayn after the former Honorary Uce betrayed The Bloodline in favor of Kevin Owens.

Zayn and Reigns clashed back at Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in February, but the ending saw Zayn screwed out of the title in his hometown. Interestingly, if it was Zayn who pinned Reigns in Saudi Arabia to retain his championships, then he could easily step back into this feud and settle his issues for good at SummerSlam.

Sami had the backing of the WWE Universe for the best part of 2023. There is no doubt that he should be the man to finally pin Reigns and could even be the one to take away his championships before making the move back to SmackDown.
