Roman Reigns to return, giant star to finally debut? - 4 possible finishes for The Bloodline's Eight-Man Tag Team Match on WWE SmackDown
WWE just came off of a huge weekend. The sports entertainment titan had two different premium live events air and they came from two different continents. Bash in Berlin aired on Saturday from Europe, meanwhile, NXT No Mercy streamed on Sunday from the United States of America.
Despite a busy weekend, things never truly slowed down for World Wrestling Entertainment. Monday and Tuesday featured new editions of RAW and NXT. Additionally, SmackDown is set to air on FOX for the last time this Friday.
The show has a few segments and matches announced thus far, but the biggest is an Eight-Man Tag Team Match featuring The Bloodline's Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Solo Sikoa, and Jacob Fatu. The four dangerous stars will be taking on DIY and the Street Profits.
There is no indication as to how the upcoming bout will end, but there are several intriguing ways it might conclude. This article will tackle a handful of possible finishes for the SmackDown match, which includes the return of Roman Reigns and a massive debut.
Below are four possible finishes for The Bloodline's Eight-Man Tag Team Match on WWE SmackDown.
#4. The Bloodline could cleanly dominate the competition on WWE SmackDown
The Bloodline is perhaps more dangerous than at any point ever before. Solo Sikoa now leads the heel faction and he has assembled three dangerous men to stand by his side. The three stars are Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.
The group is so dangerous that seemingly nobody can stop them. They have managed to take out names such as Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and even Roman Reigns when operating as a unit, among many others.
In fact, they have even taken out both DIY and the Street Profits in the past. As a result, their impending match on WWE SmackDown may go in a similar direction. Jacob Fatu could go crazy and destroy the competition, ultimately pinning Johnny Gargano after a Split-legged Moonsault.
#3. DIY and The Street Profits could pull off a major upset
DIY is one of WWE's most popular tag teams. The team is made up of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. As a duo, they have held tag team gold both on NXT and on SmackDown. They both are also former NXT Champions.
The Street Profits are a highly decorated tag team who have managed to have even more success in the tag team ranks than DIY. They are former RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and even EVOLVE Tag Team Champions. However, neither Montez Ford nor Angelo Dawkins have had solo success yet.
While The Bloodline is a threat, both teams have excellent chemistry. If the four men can channel it well enough, their veteran prowess might be enough to shockingly stop The Bloodline for one match. Perhaps Johnny Wrestling can pick up a quick pinfall over Tonga Loa? Only time will tell.
#2. Hikuleo could debut to help The Bloodline
WWE has had many major signings this year. Names such as Andrade, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Stephanie Vaquer are some of the most notable. As impressive as they all have been or will be, however, there may be one even more incredible.
33-year-old Hikuleo is reportedly signed to the sports entertainment juggernaut. The giant of a man stands at around six foot eight inches tall. He has competed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and is the younger brother of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
Many expect Hikuleo to debut as part of The Bloodline and that could happen as soon as on the next episode of WWE SmackDown. The big man could show up and attack DIY or the Street Profits behind the referee's back, thus allowing the rest of The Bloodline to pounce upon the remaining stars in the ring.
#1. Roman Reigns could return and cost Solo Sikoa and company the win
Roman Reigns seemingly disappeared from WWE television as quickly as he reappeared. The Original Tribal Chief made his return for the first time since WrestleMania XL at SummerSlam 2024. He then proceeded to appear in a handful of SmackDown episodes.
At first, The Head of the Table seemed like a world beater. He fought off The Bloodline both at SummerSlam and on the fallout episode of SmackDown after the big show. Unfortunately, things later went south on SmackDown courtesy of Jacob Fatu. Roman was then put through a table and has not been seen since.
However, Friday Night SmackDown could be where that changes. The Original Tribal Chief could appear on the show and cost The Bloodline the win. If he nails Solo Sikoa with a Superman Punch, it might be enough for DIY to hit the Meet in the Middle and pick up the win. Reigns may get the last laugh.
