Roman Reigns' secret weapon, new Bloodline stable? - 4 directions for Lance Anoa'i in WWE
Major WWE news came out this week. The Sports Entertainment juggernaut recently revealed multiple new signings for NXT and the Performance Center. The bulk of these signings were athletes with no prior wrestling experience.
There was an exception to that rule, however. After many rumors and reports, it has been officially confirmed that Lance Anoa'i has signed with World Wrestling Entertainment. The talented indie star even commented on a post by the company to further confirm the news.
Lance is a member of the legendary Anoa'i family and thus, is part of the real-life Bloodline. He joins the likes of Roman Reigns, The Rock, Rikishi, Yokozuna, Afa, Sika, and various other names who have represented the real-life Bloodline in some form in the company's illustrious past and present.
Now that Lance is officially in the company, what's next for the young star? This article will take a look at four different directions for Lance, which includes time on the main roster and in NXT.
Below are four directions for Lance Anoa'i in WWE.
#4. He could be the fifth man for Roman Reigns' WarGames team
WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 will be a big-time show. There will be a Men's WarGames Match which will see The O.G. Bloodline led by Roman Reigns taking on Solo Sikoa's New Bloodline.
The O.G. Bloodline features four stars fans know and love. Roman Reigns, of course, is the leader. He is joined by former WWE champions Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn. Notably, the match is meant to be five-on-five and there are only four stars on the team.
If Roman, Jey, Jimmy, and Sami need a partner, it would make sense for them to reach out to a real-life member of The Bloodline. This move would definitely put Lance in a high-pressure spot immediately, but if he's good enough, he could rise to the occasion.
#3. Lance Anoa'i could join Solo Sikoa's version of The Bloodline
Roman Reigns' version of The Bloodline needs a fifth member for his WarGames team at WWE Survivor Series, but Solo Sikoa does not. He is joined by Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, and shockingly, Bronson Reed.
The group is dangerous and poses a serious threat to The O.G. Bloodline, but that doesn't mean Solo Sikoa won't have backup plans. One potential plan is to recruit Lance Anoa'i to The New Bloodline and have him debut at Survivor Series: WarGames later this month.
When the two dominant and dangerous factions fight, Lance could sneak out and jump into the cage. This would then give Solo's stable an unfair advantage, essentially making the fight a six-on-five battle. From there, Solo, Tama, Tonga, Jacob, and Bronson will almost certainly defeat Roman's squad.
#2. He could challenge Trick Williams for the WWE NXT Championship
There is a chance that Lance Anoa'i doesn't do anything with either Bloodline stable. Instead, he could go to WWE NXT and start on his own path as a singles competitor. This would be great, as it could help him develop.
Trick Williams is the top male star on the WWE NXT brand. He is the reigning and two-time NXT Champion, having defeated Ethan Page to win the belt for a second time. Lance could step up and become the challenger for the prized title.
While this may seem too fast to be realistic, NXT's men's divisions are struggling at the moment. While the women's scene on the brand is stronger than ever, the likes of Ridge Holland have been pushed to the main event due to the roster needing help. Lance could slide in near the top of the card rather quickly.
#1. Lance could form a new Bloodline on NXT
The final option is a blend of multiple entries on this list. Lance Anoa'i could still go to WWE NXT without having any kind of affiliation with Roman Reigns' Bloodline or Solo Sikoa's group but still represent The Bloodline in a different way.
Lance could form his own version of the stable on the black and silver brand. Obviously, he'd be the key member, but there are some stars both not yet signed and rumored to be signed to the company who could also be involved.
As far as signed performers go, Hikuleo has allegedly joined WWE. He is the younger, but much larger brother of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. Lance could then also recruit family members not yet with the company, such as Zilla Fatu, Sean Maluta, and even Thamiko Fatu. This would be all about the future of The Bloodline.
