Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins to re-form The Shield, 6'1" monster to join OTC? 4 stars who could be the third member of the new "Hounds of Justice"
Warning: Spoilers ahead. Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn will face The Bloodline in a WarGames match at Survivor Series. Given the WarGames match is a usually five-on-five encounter, both teams still need one more member. However, the company seemingly has penciled in the two names on both sides.
For fans unaware, WWE taped next week's RAW on Monday night. The tapings hinted that Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins could be the final members of The Bloodline and Roman Reigns' faction respectively for the Survivor Series bout.
While it will be of interest to see how things unfold after WarGames, the company could have Roman Reigns stick with Seth Rollins to form a new Shield. The OTC and Rollins could potentially join forces with a new member to reform the legendary faction as Jon Moxley, fka Dean Ambrose, is reportedly bound to AEW until 2027.
Below are four potential names who could be the final member of Shield 2.0:
#4. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn reunited with Roman Reigns last week on SmackDown. While Team Reigns currently consists of the Honorary Uce and The Usos and possibly, Seth Rollins, the twins could potentially separate from The OTC following the civil war at Survivor Series and start doing their own thing as a tag team again.
This would lead to Reigns and Rollins reforming The Shield with Sami Zayn as the third member. Given his caliber, the Honorary Uce would be a perfect replacement for the former Dean Ambrose in the faction.
#3. Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle is rumored to return to the company in the coming days to be a part of The American Made faction. However, the company may throw a curveball at fans by having the legend unite with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins as the third member of potential Shield 2.0.
For those unaware, Angle has previously been part of the popular faction. The legend joined The Shield for a match back in 2017. Given the history, the former Olympian could return as the third member of Roman's new Shield.
#2. Roman Reigns' cousin, Zilla Fatu
Rumor has it that another real-life Bloodline member, Zilla Fatu, who is the son of late wrestling legend Umaga, could soon debut in WWE. If true, The OTC could bring in Zilla as the third member of Reigns' potential Shield 2.0 after the Survivor Series Premium Live Event.
The real-life Bloodline members' addition to the new faction could prove highly beneficial for his career. Moreover, it would allow the six-feet-one-inch star to learn and grow under the umbrella of Seth Rollins and The OTC.
#1. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes has seemingly mended fences with both his former rivals, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins this year. The American Nightmare was earlier rumored to be the final member of the OG Bloodline. However, the company has seemingly decided to go with Rollins instead.
Nonetheless, Rhodes could potentially untie with the Original Tribal Chief and The Visionary following Survivor Series: WarGames. If The Shield 2.0 is indeed formed, Rhodes could be a great replacement for Dean Ambrose in the faction.
The former AEW champ's union with Reigns and Rollins would indeed be a blockbuster, and may potentially break all viewership records.
