Roman Reigns' 'Shield' to return, Tiffany to lose her MITB to veteran & turn face? 4 things WWE could be planning for Bad Blood 2024

WWE's next premium live event, Bad Blood 2024, will air live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on October 5. While the company is yet to announce any matches for the show, that could change in the coming week.

Fans should expect the creative team to put together a stacked card for the October event. Aside from that, WWE could have some big things for the premium live event to not only add that surprise value to the spectacle but also draw more eyeballs.

The following piece will explore four such potential things the company could be planning for Bad Blood 2024:

#4. Tiffany Stratton loses her MITB briefcase to Bayley due to Nia Jax at Bad Blood 2024

Tiffany Stratton locked horns with Bayley on the latest episode of SmackDown. However, the 25-year-old star failed to prevail over The Role Model in the match.

Given her huge win on Friday's show, Bayley could challenge Stratton for her MITB briefcase at Bad Blood 2024. If that does happen, the veteran could win the coveted briefcase from The Buff Barbie due to Nia Jax's interference in the potential match.

Things are not great between Jax and Tiffany currently. The current WWE Women's Champion confronted The Buff Barbie on the latest episode of SmackDown, questioning the 25-year-old about her cash-in attempt during The Irresistible Force's match against Michin two weeks ago.

While Stratton denied the allegations, Nia didn't seem too convinced. Given that, she could betray her closest ally, costing her the MITB briefcase in a potential match against Bayley.

This potential angle would turn fans sympathetic towards Tiffany, establishing her as a babyface, leading to a feud against Nia.

#3. WWE books CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre III in a Hell in a Cell Match

CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin. Following his win, The Second City Saint declared that he was going to move on to bigger things, signaling an end to his feud with McIntyre.

However, that didn't happen as Punk was brutally attacked by The Scottish Psychopath on the RAW after Bash in Berlin. Given that, it seems the company is planning to book the duo in another clash at Bad Blood 2024.

Rumor has it that the third, and potentially the final, showdown between the two stalwarts could be a Hell in a Cell Match, and the company could announce the same on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW.

#2. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes team up against The Bloodline at Bad Blood 2024

Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Title against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match on next week's SmackDown. However, despite the match being inside the hellish structure, fans should expect The Bloodline to find a way to interfere in the bout.

This could then lead to Roman Reigns making his much-awaited return. The Original Tribal Chief has been on a hiatus ever since he was brutalized by The Bloodline a few weeks ago. However, he could return on SmackDown to help Rhodes even the odds against The Bloodline.

This potential angle could then lead to WWE announcing Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match for Bad Blood.

#1. Seth Rollins returns as Roman Reigns' 'Shield'

If the creative team does end up booking Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in a tag match at Bad Blood 2024, it could lead to a massive reunion.

Given the rest of The Bloodline is expected to interfere in the potential match, it could lead to The Original Tribal Chief's Shield brother, Seth Rollins, showing up to make the save. Given Jon Moxley, aka Dean Ambrose, is currently under a contract with AEW, his return to help Roman Reigns seems highly unlikely.

However, Rollins could return to be Roman's 'Shield', much like he was for Cody Rhodes during his feud against The Bloodline earlier this year. Seth is currently on a hiatus, written out after a brutal attack at the hands of Bronson Reed.
