Roman Reigns to be stripped of his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship by Nick Aldis? Exploring Potential twistÂ
Nick Aldis has made it clear that he is not someone who is going to work alongside Roman Reigns on WWE SmackDown. Adam Pearce liked to adhere to many of Reigns' requests, and it seems that Aldis refuses to play favorites in his role as SmackDown General Manager.
Aldis has tried to work with Reigns, but after he ruined last week's main event match, a fatal four-way was announced. The Bloodline are clearly unhappy with the alternative match, and Reigns sent them to this week's show to force a change, which didn't go as planned.
Aldis put The Bloodline in the main event, and after they were unable to find a partner, they were destroyed by Reigns' Royal Rumble challengers.
It's clear that Reigns doesn't like the match he has been handed, and it could lead to him refusing to defend his Championship on the show if Aldis doesn't change his mind.
The fact that it has been more than 30 days since he defended his title would mean that Aldis could strip him of the title and change the match to a triple threat instead if that was how he reacted.
Will Roman Reigns refuse to wrestle at The Royal Rumble?
While it does seem as though Roman Reigns is the underdog in this match, the fatal four-way rules mean that The Bloodline can still involve themselves in the match without disqualification.
AJ Styles has The OC who could back them up, but given recent issues, it's unlikely. Randy Orton and LA Knight don't have any close friends of their own, which means Roman Reigns has a major advantage if he uses outside help, which he usually always does.
In the past, The Bloodline have assisted Roman Reigns to victory, and this could be no different.
He could return to SmackDown and refuse to wrestle the match, but as noted above, it's clear that Nick Aldis will do everything in his power to ensure the match still happens with or without him.
