Roman Reigns' surprise alliance, Logan Paul betrayed by unlikely name? - 3 unexpected unions that could happen at WWE SummerSlam

The WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event is on the horizon. Over 50,000 fans are expected to be in attendance at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, for The Biggest Party of The Summer this Saturday.

Seven matches have been booked for the marquee PLE, including four world title bouts. Bayley, Damian Priest, Liv Morgan, and Cody Rhodes will all put their coveted belts on the line, as will other champions, such as Sami Zayn and Logan Paul.

It remains to be seen whether another match will be added to the card or not. Regardless, there will likely be some surprises, twists, and turns that will leave fans in shock. This includes the potential for unexpected alliances.

This article will take a look at a handful of alliances that could be forged at The Biggest Party of The Summer.

Below are three unexpected unions that could happen at WWE SummerSlam:

#3. Jake Paul could appear at WWE SummerSlam and side with LA Knight

LA Knight has a huge match at WWE SummerSlam. The Megastar will have the opportunity to win his first title on the main roster this weekend. He will challenge Logan Paul for the coveted United States Championship in the social media star's home state of Ohio.

The Maverick won the United States Title at Crown Jewel 2023 and has since defended the championship on just two occasions.

The feud between Knight and Paul has been quite entertaining, and things will finally come to a head at SummerSlam. In what could be an interesting twist, however, Logan's brother Jake Paul could shockingly stop The Maverick from cheating. From there, Jake could unite with LA Knight and help the challenger stand tall over his heel brother.

Given that WWE is set to host the Bad Blood Premium Live Event this October, a family feud could realistically happen, and it may even lead to the two brothers locking horns. If this unlikely union plays out as described, Logan Paul vs. Jake Paul in a WWE ring is certainly possible.

#2. Bayley could reunite with Damage CTRL following their dramatic split

The Role Model is set to defend her coveted WWE Women's Championship against Queen Nia Jax at SummerSlam. This comes after The Irresistible Force won the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament to earn the title opportunity.

To make matters worse for Bayley, Nia has an ally in the form of Tiffany Stratton. The Buff Barbie is the current Ms. Money in the Bank, which means she can cash in her briefcase at any time.

In theory, Bayley could be in big trouble this weekend. That doesn't necessarily have to be the case, though. There is a chance that The Role Model could reunite with her former friends in Damage CTRL despite falling out with the group earlier this year.

Kairi Sane, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai returned on Monday Night RAW and are seemingly babyfaces. With all four women now aligned the same way, perhaps they could reunite at The Biggest Party of The Summer, with the trio coming to the aid of the former Damage CTRL leader.

#1. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes could shockingly unite to take down The Bloodline

The main event of WWE SummerSlam is going to be a doozy. Cody Rhodes will be putting his Undisputed WWE Title on the line against the new, and self-appointed, leader of The Bloodline, Solo Sikoa.

The Street Champion has taken over The Bloodline in the absence of Roman Reigns since WrestleMania XL. He has since kicked out Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman and has added Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu to the stable.

Solo has repeatedly called out Roman Reigns in recent weeks. This has led many to believe that The Original Tribal Chief will return, potentially as soon as at WWE SummerSlam, seeking revenge.

In what could be an interesting twist, Roman may not just return on Saturday, but he may also unite with Cody Rhodes. The two long-time rivals working together to take down The Bloodline 2.0 would be fascinating.
