Ronda Rousey News: RAW Women's Champion reacts to Sasha Banks match at Royal Rumble
What's the story?
Last night's RAW saw somewhat of a shock as Sasha Banks defeated Nia Jax to become the number one contender for the Raw Women's Championship, setting up a dream match with the woman currently holding the gold in former UFC star Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble.
Well, Rousey has now spoken out about the match, and hinted at a future match between the Four Horsewomen and the "Faux" Horsewomen, too.
In case you didn't know...
Ronda Rousey made her mark on WWE when she arrived unannounced at the 2017 Royal Rumble pay-per-view to close out the show, prompting a media frenzy where it emerged that she'd signed a contract to become a full-time WWE Superstar.
Since then, Rousey has taken to professional wrestling like a fish to water - debuting at WrestleMania and having some great matches with Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, and Charlotte Flair among others, and being in one of the hottest rivalries of the year with Becky Lynch.
One year on, though, from her debut, Rousey will face off against Sasha Banks at this year's Rumble after Banks beat one of Rousey's recent rivals in Nia Jax.
The heart of the matter
Ronda Rousey has taken to Instagram to congratulate, and call out, her upcoming opponent Sasha Banks ahead of her title defense at the Royal Rumble.
Rousey has already faced off against Charlotte Flair and was scheduled to face Becky Lynch, and has again hinted at a Four Horsewomen vs Four Horsewomen feud in the Instagram post which would see Bayley added to the list of opponents, and Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir in Rousey's corner.
What's next?
Ronda Rousey will defend her Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble which takes place in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 27th - live on the WWE Network.
