On Sunday, WWE officially confirmed the main event of WrestleMania 35. The Show of Shows will be main-evented by the triple threat match between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair for the RAW Women's Championship. This wasn't a big surprise considering the fact that his feud has been the focal point of the company's weekly programming for the past few months.

It was first reported by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE is planning to have a women's match main event The Shows of Shows at the MetLife Stadium with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair facing off against one another in the first-ever women's main event in WrestleMania. But late last summer, a certain Lasskicker became 'The Man.'

Becky Lynch turning on Charlotte at SummerSlam last year would be the launchpad for the great run that 'The Man' would have in the coming months becoming one of the most popular stars in the company in the process. Lynch's character of an anti-hero clicked big time with the fans as she kept getting the loudest pops from the fans every time she stepped inside the ring.

Lynch was initially penciled in for a Champion vs Champion Match against Rousey at Survivor Series last year. But, fate had other plans for The Man as she was concussed by a stiff punch from Nia Jax during an in-ring brawl and was replaced by Charlotte Flair. Charlotte would go on beat the living hell out of Rousey at Survivor Series leaving the Rowdy One battered and bruised with multiple kendo sticks shots.

Lynch's rising popularity among the fans led to her winning the women's Royal Rumble match and challenging Rousey for the RAW Women's Championship the following night on RAW. What followed next was a convoluted storyline which saw Lynch getting suspended and re-instated, Rousey turning heel and badmouthing the business and that pointless match between Lynch and Charlotte Flair at Fastlane.

While the feud has lo lot of steam over the past few weeks, the fact that these women got to be in the main event spot more than anyone else in the past few months is no feat especially if one considers the status of women's wrestling a few years back. Women were barely featured in WWE's weekly programming and we're mostly used as mere eye candies. Superstars like Paige and AJ Lee paved the way for what would become the Women's Evolution.

The triple threat main event match for the RAW Women's Championship is the culmination of a journey that started four years ago with the #GiveDivasAChance movement. The journey of WWE's female talent from being a Diva to a WWE Superstar has been nothing short of exhilarating.

This match is, for all reasons and purposes, the biggest Women's match in WWE history and who better to represent the company on its Grandest Stage than Rousey, Lynch, and Flair - the company's top female stars at the moment. This match is going to be one of those matches which fans will remember for years to come.
