10-time WWE World Champion could reportedly return after over a year of absence

Multiple legends are expected to return on the Road to WrestleMania 41. Although we are five months away from the annual extravaganza, WWE is already building up several high-profile storylines. A new report suggests that a former world champion may return after a lengthy hiatus.

The name in question is none other than Brock Lesnar. It has been over a year since we last saw The Beast on WWE television. Lesnar wrestled Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023 before taking a break from in-ring competition. The American Nightmare secured a big win over the veteran at The Biggest Party of the Summer to conclude their trilogy.

In a shocking moment, Lesnar seemingly broke character and endorsed Cody Rhodes after his loss. The 10-time World Champion was reportedly set to return around Royal Rumble 2024. However, things took an ugly turn after details of Janel Grant’s lawsuit against ex-WWE Chairman Vince McMahon surfaced.

Many fans have been eagerly waiting for Lesnar's comeback. Wrestling insider 4YouWrestling (aka Xero News) recently posted a GIF of Brock Lesnar on X/Twitter, seemingly suggesting his WWE return was in the cards.

Cody Rhodes broke silence on unplanned moment with Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam 2023

Brock Lesnar had a well-received trilogy of matches against Cody Rhodes in 2023. They started feuding on the RAW after WrestleMania 39.

On The Flagrant Podcast, The American Nightmare recently opened up about Lesnar shockingly endorsing him following their hard-hitting match at SummerSlam 2023.

“As I saw him taking his gloves off, I sincerely thought he was going to start swinging, then we went head-to-head, and it felt like we were a millisecond away from starting up again. So, I didn't anticipate that handshake coming. When I saw his hand, I was grateful. That's not something he does. Again, this run has consistently surprised me. The torch isn't passed. You have to take it," said Cody Rhodes.

It will be interesting to see if and when Lesnar returns to World Wrestling Entertainment. Triple H could have some big plans for The Beast on the Road to WrestleMania 41.
