28-year-old former champion departs WWE - Reports
A 28-year-old former champion has reportedly departed WWE today. The promotion is getting set for Crown Jewel 2024 tomorrow night at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, SmackDown star Indi Hartwell has departed the company. The reason for her departure was not given in the report, but it was noted that more details would be available later on.
Hartwell captured the NXT Women's Championship last year and held the title for 31 days. She signed with the promotion in 2019 and spent four years in NXT. Sapp reported that Hartwell has left the promotion and will become a free agent in 90 days.
"Indi Hartwell will be departing WWE and effectively be a free agent in 90 days,@FightfulSelect has learned," wrote Sapp.
Indi Hartwell also captured the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Candice LeRae during her time in the company. She was in an alliance with The Poison Pixie on RAW as well.
Hartwell never captured a title during her time on the company's main roster. Only time will tell what the future holds for the veteran in the wrestling business following her departure from WWE.
