36-year-old star went into title match at major WWE show with several injuries - Reports
On the latest episode of WWE NXT, a 36-year-old female star went to defend her title with injuries sustained beforehand.
The name in question is Becky Lynch, who had been the NXT Women's Champion since defeating Tiffany Stratton. She defended the championship six times in a month on Monday Night RAW.
The Halloween Havoc edition of NXT saw The Man defending the title against Lyra Valkyria. Interestingly, the newly signed star Jade Cargill watched the match between Lynch and her opponent.
The closing moments saw the 27-year-old star succeed in stacking up and dethroning Becky Lynch to become the new NXT Women's Championship. Lyra Valkryria won her first championship in World Wrestling Entertainment.
According to Bodyslam.net, Becky Lynch defended her NXT Women's Championship with sustained injuries beforehand. However, details about the 36-year-old star's injury have not been revealed, and it had nothing to do with dropping the little to Lyra.

Legendary journalist Bill Apter recently spoke about Big Time Becks losing her NXT women's title.
Lynch's title run lasted for 42 days after her fellow Irish countrymate took home the win at NXT Halloween Havoc. Bill Apter commented on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted that he is excited to watch what The Man does next since she is no longer a champion.
"I wanna know what is Becky Lynch gonna do now. What is she gonna do? She lost her NXT Women's Title to young Lyra Valkyria tonight," said Bill Apter.
Apter also stated that he didn't expect Lynch to lose her championship on an NXT program, but rather on a bigger stage like RAW or SmackDown later on.
"It was a really good match, the fans were chanting, 'This is awesome.' But Becky lost. I thought if she was gonna lose the NXT Women's Championship, it might have been on one of the major two brands, but that was nice of her to lose the title to this lovely young lady," he added.
