80-year-old WWE Hall of Famer set to return for major show - Reports
Several WWE Hall of Famers often return to the company, thrilling fans with their unexpected appearances at special events. According to a new report, Triple H and Co. have a surprise planned for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14, 2024, will feature a highly-anticipated clash between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
As per PWInsider, the Sports Entertainment Giant is planning to give the iconic show an "old school" feel, incorporating elements from the 1980s in its presentation, graphics, and music. The report also noted that WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart is confirmed to be part of the show, and the company is exploring the possibility of inviting other notable veterans from the 80s to appear at the Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Jimmy Hart says WWE fans would go crazy if Triple H wrestled now
Triple H officially retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 38 in 2022. In his last match, The Game teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat the duo of Samoa Joe and Robert Roode during a live show in Japan in 2019.
Currently, Paul Levesque holds the position of Chief Content Officer at WWE. While he primarily works behind the scenes, he occasionally makes on-screen appearances for significant announcements.
In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, Jimmy Hart praised Triple H's work in the company, stating that he could still perform at a high level if medically cleared, and highlighted the strong team surrounding him.
"Triple H is doing such a good job. I'm not just saying that to be saying it. He's got it all, man. He could step back in the ring tomorrow if he wanted to and still people would go crazy over him. He's got a great crew around him, and then Shawn Michaels up at NXT," Hart said.
