Several notable names from WWE are on the injured list or away for a while after the biggest WrestleMania in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, reports state that a multi-time Women's Champion has not signed a new deal with the Stamford-based promotion.
WWE re-signed several notable names after a successful WrestleMania XL. However, there was no update on the Women's World Champion Becky Lynch as her contract will expire in the coming weeks.
During a Q&A session with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp on May 17, 2024, the insider was asked about The Man's future, with the promotion heading into WWE King & Queen of the Ring. He stated that the last time he checked, the Women's World Champion had not signed a new deal.
It was previously reported that Seth Rollins had signed a multi-year deal with the Stamford-based promotion. The report stated that The Visionary signed a new contract with big money, and the promotion had no plans to let the star leave. It will be interesting to see if Lynch also signs a new deal in the coming weeks.
Becky Lynch is set to defend her Women's World Championship at WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024
Earlier this year, Becky Lynch punched her ticket to The Grandest Stage of Them All in Philadelphia for the two-night event after a stellar run on WWE's white-and-gold brand as the NXT Women's Champion for six weeks.
Becky Lynch faced Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley on the opening night of WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, Mami was able to silence The Man and walk out with her championship.
However, Rhea Ripley's injury provided a second opportunity for Becky Lynch, as she won the Women's Battle Royal and won the vacant Women's World Champion by eliminating Liv Morgan.
The Man granted Liv Morgan a one-on-one title match for the title in Saudi Arabia at King & Queen of the Ring 2024. It will be interesting to see if Morgan can walk out with the title.
