Backstage details of former AEW star's WWE contract revealed - Reports

The last few weeks have seen quite a few developments in WWE, including a few new appearances. New details have recently emerged in a report about a particular new signing.

The signing in question is none other than Ethan Page, who is a former AEW star. The 34-year-old recently made a surprise appearance on the latest episode of NXT and attacked Trick Williams. He was also revealed to be the one who attacked Noam Dar and Oro Mensah backstage, establishing him as a heel.

A recent report by Fightful Select delved into the backstage details of Page's contract and reception in WWE. According to the report, it was still unclear whether his contract with AEW expired or if he was released. The report also stated that his deal with the Stamford-based company was finalized over the last week, as well as having a secret presentation at the Performance Centre. Moreover, the main roster was very pleased with him and excited for his future.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out for the Canadian star in the Stamford-based promotion.

How was Ethan Page as a performer in AEW before signing with WWE?

Those who have watched Ethan Page in AEW can attest to the fact that although he was quite skilled in the ring, he was never pushed to be one of the top stars in the Jacksonville-based company.

Apart from working with several notable names like Scorpio Sky and Matt Hardy, Ethan had also made several attempts to bag his first gold in the Tony Khan-led promotion. Despite several title matches, however, he had never actually won any championship.
