Backstage reaction to Odyssey Jones' WWE debut after 1.5 years - Reports

This week's episode of WWE RAW saw Odyssey Jones finally make his main roster debut. It's been a long time coming, as the 30-year-old was drafted to RAW from WWE NXT in May 2023. He was again allocated to the red brand during this year's Draft.

Nevertheless, Jones made a significant impact this past Monday night, siding with The New Day against The Final Testament. Jones ultimately caused a distraction during Xavier Woods and the returning Kofi Kingston's tag team match against Akam and Rezar, which allowed The New Day to pick up the victory.

The 30-year-old attacked The Final Testament once the bout was over, showcasing his incredible power and strength. Meanwhile, according to PWInsider Elite (via WrestleTalk), WWE is pleased with the numbers that Jones' debut is bringing in on social media. As of this writing, the video of the upstart's main roster debut on WWE's X/Twitter account stands at two million views.

Following his impressive appearance on RAW, one notable figure in WWE had some huge praise for Jones.

Paul "Triple H" Levesque describes Odyssey Jones as a "game-changer"

WWE's Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque, who worked directly with the WWE Performance Center graduate while running WWE NXT, posted his thoughts about the debut of RAW's new powerhouse on X/Twitter.

"Strength, size, star power… and he’s only getting started. Odyssey Jones is a game-changer. #WWERAW," Paul "Triple H" Levesque wrote.

Meanwhile, original New Day member and the currently injured Big E also shared his reaction to Jones' debut on social media. The former WWE Champion claimed that "a star" was born and that the upstart had made many new fans following his first main roster appearance.

It'll now be interesting to see whether Jones will officially become a part of The New Day moving forward.
