Backstage update on Becky Lynch's WWE contract status - Reports
There has been another update on Becky Lynch's contract status with WWE. The Man was in action during last night's main event of WWE RAW in Georgia.
According to a new report from PW Insider, Lynch's contract with the promotion is set to expire in "the next week or so." The report noted that WWE does not anticipate Lynch looking to exit the company.
The veteran is advertised for the June 1 WWE Live Event in White Plains, New York. However, sources have informed PW Insider that her appearance at the event is not happening.
Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch this past Saturday at King and Queen of the Ring to become the new Women's World Champion. Dominik Mysterio got involved in the match, and the same thing happened last night on the red brand.
Braun Strowman chased JD McDonagh around the ring and hit Mysterio in the process. He fell into the steel door as Lynch was trying to escape, preventing her from winning the match. Liv Morgan capitalized and quickly escaped the cage to retain the Women's World Championship.
Former WWE writer believes Becky Lynch's match was cut short on RAW
Vince Russo believes that the match between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan was cut short last night on the red brand.
Speaking on this week's edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, the wrestling legend noted that there were two commercial breaks during last night's main event. Russo said the company gave too much time to other matches rather than focusing on the Steel Cage match.
"The only match that had any value on the entire show was the cage match at the end. They had two commercial breaks during that match, you got to see hardly nothing. They gave all these other matches beforehand so much time, and they gave that cage match nothing. I don't know if the girls were hurt coming out of Saudi. I don't know bro. It could be something like that." [From 3:50 onwards]
