Backstage update on real-life Bloodline member's WWE future following recent controversy - Reports
Solo Sikoa took over the leadership of The Bloodline following WWE Wrestlemania XL. The 31-year-old recruited Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu to the faction. A recent report sheds light on whether another Samoan star is headed to the Stamford-based company following a recent controversy.
The name in question is the late WWE Superstar Umaga's son, Zilla Fatu. The 25-year-old shockingly missed a recent GCW event despite being advertised for the show. The wrestling promotion later shared a statement on social media announcing Fatu's departure from the company. It led to speculations of him soon signing a deal with the global juggernaut.
According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Fatu has not signed with WWE. The Samoan reportedly did not show up at the recent event due to a disagreement with GCW regarding an agreed rate. It was further reported that although both parties had been in contact, there was no update regarding them working in tandem ever again.
Zilla Fatu shares his honest take on a potentially joining WWE
Being the son of the late great Umaga and having been trained by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, Zilla Fatu is expected to be a part of the company like many of his real-life family members.
In a recent interview with Joey Franchize, Zilla Fatu opened up about the contribution of all the real-life Bloodline members who were a part of WWE. Fatu claimed that he feels blessed to be a part of 'the family business.' However, the Samoan added that he was in no hurry to join the Stamford-based promotion.
"It feels good, Uce. It feels good. I’m happy. I feel like we all deserve it because I got people that came before us. The people that came before me, you gotta give them their flowers, like Afa and Sika, like Snuka and The Rock and Peter Maivia. Those guys really started this foundation for our family. Then obviously The Rock, Rikishi, my uncle, [Yokozuna], they all took it to a whole nother level. Then you got Roman [Reigns], The Usos, The Bloodline, they, taking it to a whole another level. So, it’s really a family business for real, and I’m just so happy and blessed to be a part of this. I’m coming up too. Like I said, I’m on the indies. But I’m not in no rush, " he said.
