John Cena announced that 2025 would be his final year as a WWE Superstar during Money in the Bank last night in Toronto, Canada. The veteran will be going on a retirement tour from January to December next year.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Cena is expected to be around the promotion a lot in 2025 but will also likely have other obligations in addition to his WWE dates. Popular media personality Sam Roberts believes that there could be enough time for John Cena to have one final title reign in the promotion.

He teamed up with Awesome Truth on the RAW after WrestleMania XL to defeat The Judgment Day in a Six-Man Tag Team match. Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts stated that he would like to see Cena become champion once again.

"I wonder, over the course of a year, is it outlandish to say that John Cena could get another championship? I would love to see it. (...) Yeah, I mean, I think there's potential championship," he said. [From 24:09 to 24:51]
