Becky Lynch and Goldberg update during WWE absence ahead of SummerSlam - Reports

Becky Lynch and Goldberg are going to be in focus over SummerSlam weekend. Neither star is reportedly currently contracted to WWE with Goldberg having left a long time ago, and Lynch's contract having expired recently.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Becky Lynch was on hiatus from WWE and wrestling after her contract with the company expired. Since her absence, she's stayed away from wrestling as a whole, leaving soon after she lost her title to Liv Morgan. Meanwhile, Goldberg has not been seen in WWE ever since the 2022 Elimination Chamber match, where he battled Roman Reigns. He lost the match with Reigns winning to retain his title.

His contract reportedly ended at the end of 2022 and was not renewed by the company.

Heading into SummerSlam weekend, both stars will be featured on WWE programming despite apparently not being contracted to the company. According to PWInsider, The WWE on A&E deal will see the company air biographies about both stars. This is a huge deal, as it's taking place on SummerSlam weekend as well, Becky Lynch and Goldberg being featured in WWE Legends shows, may also indicate that the company may bring them back, but it remains to be seen.

While fans expect Lynch to return sometime in the future, Goldberg's return is not expected at all.

Becky Lynch and Goldberg are two of WWE's biggest stars

While both stars are currently not wrestling, they have been seen as two of the biggest stars of their time for the company.

Goldberg has always been involved in the top title picture whenever he's been part of the show in recent years. Meanwhile, Lynch has been the focus of the modern women's division for a long time, even becoming double women's champion and getting a huge push during the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event.

Both stars have contributed a lot to the company over their careers.
