Bloodline member earmarked for major WWE title match at SummerSlam - Reports
The new Bloodline has been trying to dominate WWE after Roman Reigns' absence and making waves on Friday Night SmackDown. A new report suggests a faction member is set to receive a major title shot at SummerSlam 2024.
Earlier this month, Solo Sikoa clarified his intentions as he and the group attacked Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle Scotland. Luckily, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens came out to save the day and the Undisputed WWE Champion from The new Bloodline.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), a few matches for SummerSlam 2024 are earmarked, out of which is a title match for the Undisputed WWE Championship between The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Cody Rhodes.
SummerSlam is nearly two months away, and the rivalry between Sikoa and Rhodes started to brew after Clash at the Castle Scotland. It'll be interesting to see if and when The Tribal Heir receives a title shot against The American Nightmare.
WWE recently filed a new trademark for a potential Bloodline member
The new Bloodline has been trying to recreate the same impact as its original counterpart when Roman Reigns led the charge alongside The Usos and the Honorary Uce Sami Zayn.
However, it all changed drastically over the past few years, and the group changed after WrestleMania XL. Solo Sikoa took over the reins to restore balance and add new members to the fray.
The self-proclaimed Tribal Chief has no intentions of stopping, and new members could be added to the mix in the coming months. According to a new filing, the company trademarked 'Caesar Sikoa'.
There could be different explanations for the trademark, but the most popular theory is that this could be Jacob Fatu's new name in the Stamford-based promotion.
WWE reportedly signed the Samoan a while back, but the star has not appeared for the promotion. It'll be interesting to see which star gets to use the newly trademarked name in the company.
