CM Punk reportedly traveled with NXT following injury concerns on RAW
CM Punk has been a busy man on the WWE main roster and in NXT as of late. The veteran superstar has worked closely with the third brand since returning almost one year ago and has made several appearances on NXT. New information reveals what Punk was doing with the NXT crew this week.
The Second City Saint seemingly ended his rivalry with Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood on Saturday, defeating him in the brutal Hell in a Cell opener. The match came days after Punk served as special guest referee for the NXT CW premiere main event, which saw Trick Williams dethrone Ethan Page of the NXT Championship.
Punk briefly appeared at the start of Monday's RAW to discuss the Hell in a Cell bout's fallout and how he was unsure about the future, teasing that he may not be back. The 45-year-old appeared to be injured as he limped out, and had his arm wrapped up with several bandages. As he went to leave, Seth Rollins came out and they briefly faced off. Punk left as Rollins threatened him. Despite the hiatus and injury angle on RAW, PWInsider reports that the former AEW World Champion was backstage for NXT.
The Voice of The Voiceless reportedly traveled on the NXT talent bus, to The Factory at The District in Chesterfield, Missouri for Tuesday's live NXT on CW Network. It was indicated that Punk and others stayed at the same talent hotel, which makes sense as RAW was in nearby St. Louis on Monday.
CM Punk once again made himself available to the up-and-coming superstars and was seen giving advice to the talent while backstage. He then reportedly left the taping the same way he came, on the NXT talent bus.
CM Punk WWE status update
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have feuded since the Chicago native returned to the company at Survivor Series 2023. Adam Pearce indicated that their rivalry was coming to an end at Bad Blood, but it remains to be seen what's next for the veteran grapplers.
Punk is reportedly not scheduled for WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 2. This will explain his absence from WWE TV over the next several weeks. There is still no word yet on when he will be back, but officials supposedly do have a big Punk vs. Seth Rollins program planned.
The Straight Edge Superstar will turn 45 years old on October 26. This is days after RAW in Philadelphia, and just a few days before RAW in Hershey, but WWE has not confirmed CM Punk for either taping as of this writing. NXT Halloween Havoc will be held on October 27, also in Hershey.
